Look, there are many verses in the Bible that talk about victory over enemies, smiting enemies, and all that. But most people I associate with in my church would understand that those words are used figuratively, or at least applied figuratively. I really imagine the Koran is the same way, it’s just that there are a ton of crazy people in the Muslim faith that take them literally. I mean, the goal of Christianity is to help bring everyone to Christ, convert them to Christianity. You don‘t force it but it’s a goal. Sounds the same as the Koran, it’s just that the scripture is not applied in a literal form.
