  Not right to life, in this case. It’s religious freedom. No one has said anything about eliminating (or even reducing) women’s access to contraception, or even abortion. It’s who all are forced to pay for it against their deeply held religious convictions.

  If we let the enemy (and I use that title advisedly) define the argument, we lose from the gitgo. Thomas Szasz said it best: “In the animal kingdom, it’s kill or be killed. In the human kingdom, it’s define or be defined.”

  We MUST get into the defining business and stop accepting the statist labels they stick to our foreheads.

  They’ll ALL phony: the only money authorized by the Constitution is gold and silver. The rest is a scam from $1 to $100 (or $100,000 – printed, correctly or ironically, with Woodrow Wilson’s mug shot).

  I believe O’bama was born in Hawai`i, but that he is, by his own admission ineligible to be President of the united States of America because he is not a “NATURAL born citizen”. His own books and a myriad of other statements make this point: his mother, an underage girl who was raped (statutorily) by his father who was not a citizen of USmerica, and did not become a citizen before Jr’s birth. Ergo, not “a NATURAL born citizen”.

  Even were we to assume that O’bama, Sr, was not the father, but that another black man raped Stanley Ann, O’bama was raised in Indonesia, and became an Indonesian citizen. If that doesn’t break the NATURAL born requirement, (he had no choice, his step father forced that on him), we have no record of his ever renouncing that citizenship, which does. In all likelihood, O’bama used that trick of history to gain access to Columbia, and then to Harvard; it certainly was not his grades that got him in.

  O’bama, Sr, was never married to Stanley Ann. She had no hand in raising the man in the White House until she married another Muslim and moved to Indonesia with him. His loyalties are divided into several pieces, not just USmerican and Indonesian. Why and how did he get into Pakistan? USmerican passports were not useful there when he went. Why do we have no records of anything from his birth (and even then, only in newspaper announcements, not an unequivocally valid birth certificate), nothing from any school K~20.

  Sorry, Mammalone (is there a Daddalone out there somewhere, too?), but “reason” and “logic” don’t work well. That’s how democrats keep getting elected: they resort to fear and emotional manipulation to get people to vote for them.

  There are two primary emotions that have more-or-less controlled mankind since fire: fear and greed. Logic, being a higher use of human intellect, is not a gut reaction to anything. and only the wise (not the “educated”) stop to think, rather than merely react. So, if we who believe in freedom and individual responsibility are ever to win over those who have, so far, simply pulled the lever in favor of those who would set themselves up as our masters, we must, just as the erstwhile Furhers’ of the world, appeal to deep-seated emotions. We may, after rousing them from their murky, tax-fed sleep, teach them to think. But most people, intuitively understanding that thinking is hard work, never get around to doing any of it. At best, they think they think.

  I’ll BELIEVE in MAN-MADE Global Warming when they show me coal-burning generators and automobiles on Mars and how CO2 levels rose centuries AFTER historic warming periods (along with the coal-burning generators and automobiles in the XI.

  I’ll start WORRYING about global warming, irrespective of the source or cause, when they demonstrate how growing grapes in England and colonizing Greenland are bad things.

  I’ll DO something about it when we have evidence that government, at the beginning of the Little Ice Age, imposed taxes and massive regulations that abated “greenhouse” gasses and thus averted a world-wide catastrophe.

  In the meantime, I’m going to prepare for a real catastrophe: the impending disaster that will, soon or late, have us all foraging in garbage cans for food because rising fuel prices and the EPA make getting food from Iowa to Albuquerque and Albany impossibly expensive, or simply impossible at all.

  What I’d like to know is how do we tell the losers who left what we think about them. I know ProFlowers, and SelectComfort will get none of my business. The other eight need to be aware of my decision, too. Maybe others will join me. And, to counter the impotent “smokeyridgerunner”, I’d like to triple my commerce with the majority of them who are left. Maybe I need to re-up my subscription to 24/7.

  Our hope, if, indeed, there is any hope (short of Christ;s return), is in those children whose parents will have foregone the enticement of stolen money (thus observing the commandments not to covet and not to steal) and educated (not “schooled”) their own children in the necessities, responsibilities, and intricacies of freedom.

  Get your children out of government-run, tax-funded (gctf, aka welfare) schools. It is our, in general, and your, in particular, only hope.
