  • Normally I don’t post on this site because I hate how everyone finds some way to blame everything on Obama regardless of the story (I’m a REAL Libertarian and have no love for him either, but I feel there is a lot of Republican vs Democrat childish ideology in many comments posted), but I couldn’t resist this time…

I read the other day that President Obama is trying to stop the execution of an illegal immigrant who raped and murdered a 16 year old girl in 1994. Although finding this odd (like most other things he does), I find myself wondering why he wouldn’t invest his “efforts” into helping out an American being held in Mexico due to a setup by a corrupt government? Assuming the Blaze story is true and not “leaning” or “persuading” us to believe something different from the facts, it seems this would be a much more noble cause.

  • Beck‘s show was the only one worth watching on Fox as far as I’m concerned. Hannity…Orielly…all garbage. Stossel, The Judge and Beck are it…the rest of the network shows (Fox and Fox Business) are worthless. Nothing but ignorance and talking points. I don’t have time to listen to that crap.

My dream is for Stossel, Beck and the Judge to start a Libertarian network and hook up with Lew Rockwell. Now that would be a channel to watch!!!!

  • Amazing! In one sentence they are preaching personal responsiblity…in another, they‘re pleading for the government to raise the driving age so their young kids can’t drive for an extra few years. If a parent doesn’t want their kid to drive, or feels they aren’t ready…isn’t that a parents responsibility? Shouldn’t they man up and be a parent, regardless if it’s popular or not? Oh, that’s right! The government raises our children now! Sorry, I forgot.

  • These people just don’t get it!!! “They” are afraid of what Socialism stands for…meaning a loss of our God given right to Life, Liberty and the persuit of happiness. They are afraid of Progressivism because some of us understand that it is an incremental erosion of these rights.

I believe a big problem in relationships, business, and in this country today is that we either don’t understand fundementals, or we simply omit them for the sake of how we feel about specific situations or issues. GO BACK TO THE FUNDEMENTALS!

  • My favorite quote from a protestor…”“I think they’ve done more to discredit this country and to — I don’t know — destroy the dialogue that we could be having than anybody else in recent history.” We Americans are so unable to think and speak for ourselves, that we spew words without ever thinking about what they really mean! “Destroy the dialogue that we could be having”…that sounds nice, but dialogue is only constructive if you’re speaking in fact / truth. If you’re engaged in this wonderful “dialogue” that we hear about all the time in news debates, all it ends up being is brainwashed political zombies (representing both parties) trying to one up each other with useless and often false or misleading talking points.

Real “dialogue” is when two open mided people discuss what they believe is correct and is based on the TRUTH. One person repeating what they heard on Fox and another repeating what they heard on MSNBC and both firm in thier news media being “right” doesn’t get us anywhere. EDUCATE YOURSELF BEFORE YOU SPEAK! The Constitution (as of right now) will protect your right to speak, but it can’t prevent you from being / sounding ignorant.

  • Personally, I can hardly watch any television news anymore. Fox, CNN, MSNBC…it doesn’t matter! The only person I do watch consistently is Beck. Don’t get me wrong, I do tune into all these stations, but what I’m saying is that I can only take them in small doses.

The top of my “Can’t Stand List” would be Olberman, Hannity, Maddow and Hardball. All they do is spew talking points (regardless of channel or political ideology) that are based on factually or fundementally incorrect premises. The reason I like Beck is because he covers more of the fundementals. He preaches for people to not believe him, but find out for themselves. He talks about the big picture and doesn’t just allow 2 minute periods for people to blab over each other who are blinded by political ideology.

  • Ugh! I’m so tired of hearing cute little phrases such as, “just wait until November”…or “throw the bums out”. Even if the Republicans (same thing as Democrats, but dressed different) get enough seats to either do or stop “things”, there simply aren‘t enough honest people with character and intelligence to stop this destructive path we’re on. November means ALMOST nothing! We need to stop putting our faith in men/women that we elect. An election in November can’t stop the machine. It’s US that can and it’s US that will! Not the candidates! Even though a few candidates (and I mean a very few) look any good right now, remember that in the past a lot of good and idealistic people went to Washington…and the corruption ate them up!

In fact, isn’t this the same crap we heard during the “amazing” and “symbolic” Scott Brown election in Mass? “He’s supported by the Tea Party!“ ”He could be our next great leader to save the country!“ ”Look…he drives a pickup truck just like regular people!” I thought Mr. Brown and the whole hype was a joke then, and I believe he has proven my point…many times and in a very short time period. We as Americans are so short sighted that we can’t see our hands in front of our faces. We never take into consideration relevance. Against this current Congress, Burt and Ernie look good. Scott Brown is a progressive joke who is either arrogant, corrupt, or just a moron who can barely tie his shoes. Those are my 3 categories I refer to when trying to understand decisions that these “brilliant” politicians make that have zero resemblance to reality or common sense.

We need to go back to our money being backed by something (basket of commodities, etc), get off of fractional reserve banking, repeal all laws that aren’t constitutional, and most important, educate ourselves and our children with REAL fact and REAL history, and most important…be honest and honorable. Our culture doesn‘t and won’t promote any of this. November COULD be a small forward step toward something positive (I’ll give ya that), but I believe it to be very improbable.

If the markets were allowed to collapse in the fall of 2008, I think more of us would be dealing in reality right now and I’d be more optimistic, but unfortunately the government decided to postpone reality for a little while. The VAST majority of the population are still sheeple, they still only care about ipads and American Idol. With this culture of emptiness and ignorance still in place, politicians will continue to lie, cheat and steal. “Don’t worry! Another $500 billion in stimulus…and everything will be ok.” Let’s see how these “November Elections” work out for us when a new senator is “offered” stimulus money for his/her district. I hope I eat my words…but only time will tell.

  • I saw a bumper sticker last week with a picture of Che’s face on it. It said something to the effect, “This is what a revolution looks like when performed out of love.” Love? Since when does the murder of 1 individual…let alone 10′s of thousands, constitute love? What is going on in this world? Since when did up become down and wrong become right?

  • I watched last season and saw what I think was this seasons first show. MY OPINION is that NatGeo has done a pretty good job as simply portraying what is going on. I don’t see them working for any political point of view. In fact, they often show illegals being asked questions by the agents who capture them. The Border Patrol seems to treat them with respect (on camera at least) and with a great deal of humanity. I also have a friend who works for the Border Patrol and he tells me about a lot more hardships they face that aren’t depicted in this series.

My point is that this series APPEARS to simply tell the truth. I know this is crazy in todays world and that the media can’t grasp the concept of truth, but I find it refreshing. Ultimately these are guys just working to uphold the law. I didn’t realize that was a bad thing.

  • No SheriS…they must live on a different planet or in an alternative universe. I just wonder if they actually believe the things they are saying!?!? How can any rational adult honestly 1) believe the garbage that comes out of politicians mouths and 2) be able to say these things and then look at yourself in the mirror?
