  • Aww, look at this little strumpet having her strings pulled by a bunch of lawyers. I hope one day she looks back with shame upon how her parents and their liberal atheist cronies used her to the detriment of her community.

  • What a ridiculous policy! Nonetheless, it is a private school and has every right to introduce any policy or hiring scheme it wishes to, so I fully support that aspect.

I, too, would have resigned. Not because I’m not a Christian, but because I refuse to work for an employer that doesn’t trust me based upon my own merits and tries to force compliance through a blanket policy like that. I won’t work for any employer who requires a drug test either. I don’t use any illegal drugs (never have, never will) but I expect them to take me on my word. If my word isn’t good enough for them, then their word (or their policy) isn’t good enough for me.

  • So what he’s saying is right, correct? He wants to deregulate marriage so that the state has no say in what two consenting adults agree to do and people no longer have to seek state approval for what is in whole a religious experience. Right? Or is what he saying is that he wants to put restrictions on the freedom of religion by forcing churches to condone activities with which they disagree? I hope it’s the former, but I fear it’s the latter.

You claim “Christianity” yet reject the Bible. Just how do you justify that? Or do you feel yourself so omnipotent you can pick and choose which of God’s directives He REALLY meant?

I do neither. The Bible is a book of love. God’s love for us. People try to pick out little sections that, on the surface, seem to justify hating homosexual people, but those fall apart quite quickly. Sodom – not about homosexuality. It’s about the people in the city wanting to rape angels. Lot offers his daughters up to be raped instead. Leviticus law – part of the old covenant. We are part of the new. Jesus referencing Sodom – in reference to their sins (wanting to rape angels for example) and noting that those who mistreat His followers will have great difficulties. Paul’s references – likely translation errors in good faith. Most likely referring to prostitution and pederasty depending on the region to which he was writing. I highly recommend gaining a full understanding of the Bible, including commentary and using an appropriate translation perspective.

ps: Your salvation is not earned by being a ‘good, caring person’. It’s a free gift, unearned, undeserved.

You are absolutely correct here, though I can’t understand why you brought this up from my post. Grace is given to us freely, the only condition being accepting Christ as our savior. God’s love is unconditional and

  • I’m sorry if you feel negatively about me mentioning my religion, Cherynn. But I have to say I’m deeply troubled that you have such a negative outlook on religion in general and Christianity in particular. As a pansexual Christian myself, I can assure you there are a lot of good, loving, caring Christians out there of all orientations who reject the hatred so unfortunately expressed by so many people here. The Bible doesn’t teach people to hate. Jesus instructs us to LOVE! The greatest commandment is to love. Love God, love each other.

It’s sad to look at Christianity and see what people have done to it in some cases, twisting and distorting God’s greatest command (to love) and forgetting about the primary purpose of the Bible (to show the route to Salvation through Jesus) just to support their own hatred and cruel bias. It is not our place to judge anyone, that is God’s role, and I’m not about to start second guessing that and believing that I can judge as well as or better than God. That is the kind of thought process that led to Lucifer’s downfall. I’m ashamed of some of the comments people leave, and I hope you don’t think that all Christians are that way.

  • They’re working on it, obviously. Try going to your local public school and quoting from your Bible. See how quickly you and the school get sued. Liberals are crazy!

  • A win for freedom and a loss for freedom. Someday freedom will win across the board. Once people start waking up to the fact that they have to seek approval from the state for everything they do in life from starting a business to one of the most basic human desires, having a spouse…then they might start standing up to it and insisting on deregulation and letting people be personally responsible for what they do instead of always falling back on the government.

  • California shouldn’t ban this practice. Certainly it’s barbaric and creates real psychological issues, but consenting adults should be free to put themselves through that if they wish. I have no problem with it whatsoever.

Of course, I also have no problem with removing the state from anything that has to do with marriage between consenting adults. Shouldn’t marriage be between the people who are getting married? And their church if they are inclined in that way? Why in the world do we need to go with our hat in our hands to seek the government’s approval to be married?

  • Great job, as always, Rush!

  • IMHO Illegal aliens have NO rights under our Constitution, which was written to preserve the rights of Citizens and limit the power of government.
