Palin: Some GOP Operatives ‘Seem to Have the Fighting Instinct of Mr. Snuffleupagus’
May 22, 2012 at 12:52pm
Sarah Palin is a frelling idiot. She’s a parrot of the extreme Right blogs that have actually fallen hook, line, and sinker to the lies the Left has put out about Romney.
Someone above mentioned that half the Republican base is only voting Romney because he’s not Obama. That’s the problem. If Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin would actually do their job and tell the truth (because we’re not getting truth from CNN, MSNBC, or the rest of the MSM), people would actually LOVE Romney and realize he WILL be the next greatest President the USA has ever known.
Just because Romney doesn’t light his hair on fire when Obama says something stupid, doesn‘t mean he isn’t hitting Obama hard. EVERY SINGLE ATTACK that Obama has released has been buffetted and reflected back on him. Dog on roof? Obama ate dog. Bully in high school? Unfounded claim versus Obama’s admittance he was a bully. Romney fires people? Obama fired 10,000s by closing auto dealerships and suppliers during auto bailout.
Romney is doing just fine. (Remember, those polls are heavily slanted Democrat. Romney IS winning this battle.)

What Racy Joke Did ABC‘s Jake Tapper Convince Jimmy Kimmel to Drop From His Correspondents’ Dinner Routine?

where is my LIKE button for this comment. As a member of the LDS Church, I cringed a bit at the baptism joke, but it’s funny in a certain context (maybe not in Kimmel’s context). But the Santorum joke was definitely too far.

Good points, Lawrench. Very good.
Ohio Girl: What does Obama believe in? Himself. Everything is for him, by him, and about him. Take a look at his Julia ad. It is not, “government of the people, by the people, for the people”, it IS “government of the government, by the government, for the government.”
CNN Calls Out Obama Campaign Over Romney Ad
May 16, 2012 at 2:04am
Well put. And for some truth to the situation: Did Mitt Romney really sink those companies for profit? http://americaneedsmitt.com/2012/05/aaaaarh-did-pirate-mitt-sink-companies-for-their-treasure/
Why Conservative Republicans tried this tactic is beyond me. But even Obama, after seeing the failed attempts by Perry and Gingrich on this subject, still tried it… he’s not as good a campaigner as they make him to be.

What They Don’t Mention: Laid Off Steelworker in Anti-Romney Ad Was Offered A Buyout
May 15, 2012 at 10:11am
@soybomb: Incorrect. Bain bought companies that looked profitable, but were very much in trouble and/or in close to bankruptcy. They modis operendi was to fix the inefficiencies wherever they occurred. Whether it was in the distribution chain, the reception of materials, lazy employees, good employees in the wrong positions, whatever it was – they made the change. They attempted to fix the companies they bought.
They were very successful at it. While Romney was there, they had 5 failures out of at least 77. Of those 77, 12 companies failed *after* Romney left. But by that time a lot of companies were failing with the Tech bubble bursting and 9/11 spooking everyone. So, 17 companies out of at least 77 that we know of (more likely well over 100). That’s a really, really good percentage of success.

‘Like a Vampire’: Dramatic Obama Ad Blasts Romney for Bain Capital Layoffs — But Gets Timeline Wrong
May 14, 2012 at 2:57pm
@SageInWaiting Yeah. Like that whole SLC Olympics are $500 million in debt, plagued in scandal, and potentially not going to happen, is something important to get bothered about and fixed.
Who knows. Would Romney have been able to save GST Steel? Perhaps, perhaps not. The entire steel industry in the US got wrecked in that time period.
What we do know is that Romney had done his work and was asked to perform a civic duty – save the Olympics. And he did. For a total sum of $-1,000,000 – which he donated to the games. He took no pay. And he made the games a success and gave the credit to everyone else’s hard work.
