  • I know you put ‘graphic’, but do you really need to show that? People don’t need that image in their head, blurred or not blurred.

I think you get the gist if you say to disgusting to print. I am appalled by the sick world we live in that would do this type of thing, this is such a smear on this Lady it makes me sick. Can you imagine if this was your wife or daughter? How outrageous and sickening that the media and our beloved O won’t do anything about it.

  • The point is that ‘some’ folks fed up with getting driven from the US and all the persecution and these folks going through the Utah territory lit the fire. This small group of people (not the church as many try to pin), incited the local Indians and did a horrid act, and were brought to justice.

Don’t know where they get off on saying it was the Mormon militia, these were people acting on their own.

  • Disagree on the ‘only truth is in the bible’, the only Truth is from God and God is more than just the bible, you can find truth everywhere.

The bible is simply a collection of letters and writings based on what the Apostles left and put together by the early Catholic church. I doubt that is all that was ever written and or revealed.

  • Wow, you sound just like the fringe group of Mormon haters on this board. Have some respect and believe what you want to believe. It is easy to judge something that is hundreds/thousands of years old, through several translations and try and twist it to prove a point. But that is your opinion, not a fact and should not be spoken as such.

The only way to truly know if Jesus is the Son of God, is to ask God. If their is a God in heaven and he is interested in us as I believe he is, then you will find your answer, but I’d steer clear of such judgments that you cast as it does no good to you or others.

  • Well, having family that have worked in this type of service, Tips really do matter and their hourly wage reflex’s that. I can guarantee that you are not going to be a customer that the servers like to see.

If they serve you well, tip them.

  • I agree, tips reflect the service. Ok service you should give the 15%, jump it up for excellent service, these folks deserve it.

I heard an excellent way to do it. Bring in a stack of $1 bills, good %20 and stack them on the table and let the person know that is their tip for excellent service, start removing the bills if the service is dropping and put it back if it is good. The person was absolutely amazed at the service affect it had.

  • @4truth2all,

    Good conversation, I enjoy it.

So Christ has a body of flesh and bone, why do you think his Father does not? He said he ‘does nothing but what he has seen the father do’. Also, before he was resurected, he said “be perfect as my father which is in heaven is perfect” (going from memory her, so bear with), AFTER he is resurrected and has a glorified body, he says, “be perfect as I AM Perfect”.

Seems like resurrected body is part of that.

As for just believing the bible because it is the bible, after going through school and learning how the bible was compiled and preserved and all the ‘mucking’ that the Catholic Bishops did with it, I only believe it because of my relationship with God, as with anything that I want to know if it comes from God. I pray about it and seek his guidance.

God speed to you my friend. We may have different ‘interpretations’ of what the Godhead is, but one thing I do believe. Jesus is the Literal son of God in the flesh, the only one and is the Savior of the world, ONLY through HIM are we saved.

  • Sorry folks, the Book of Mormon Confirms the Bible, it does not take it away. It testifies of Christ and gives assurance that the Bible is indeed true (and the other way around), hand in hand they show two testaments of the Son of God.

You cannot condem this book if you have read it with an open mind, for if you had you would have been drawn closer to Christ, not further away. It does not demean your faith but confirm it.

No way in He** could an uneducated farm boy create such a book, let alone many scholars. You folks spew talking points worse than the liberals out there, in fact you act just like them and their hatred for anything conservative.

You believe in the Trinity (not a bible doctrine), we believe the Godhead (Father, Son, Holy Ghost), three separate beings, ALL God! Jesus and the Father have Bodies, we are in that image! We are their children! God is like his Christ, and yes, we can become like our savior, is that not our goal? To be like him, to learn of him, so when he returns we see him as he is? If your his child, created in his image, what are you going to do for all eternity? Blow a horn? You are an intelligent being? Why, you are the son/daughter of God and have ETERNITY to learn from him!

Sit and blow your horn, I’ll enjoy the music. Call it crazy, but boy it just makes sense, what a waste of eternity otherwise.

  • Yup, I see it on these boards all the time. I wish folks here would follow this mans example of a follower of Christ.

  • I totally agree, I never understood the hatred fear from my far right Christian brothers. It truly is a phenomenon, where else do you get churches that go so far out of their way to preach against another church. Why does your church try and teach about the Mormon church? Wouldn’t your time be better spent in learning about the gospel?

My guess it is money, this is a livelihood for most churches and they loose that livelihood if folk leave the flock. Otherwise I just don’t get it, what else could fuel so much hatred?
