  I think she might have a case for sexual harassment. I don’t know about slander. If a man can be sued for sexual harassment for saying “you look nice today” surely this is sexual harassment. She did not consent to this in the least, this is not a cartoon, but a very real looking picture…..I think she may have a case.

  Try a midwife a CNM. They do general women‘s health and are usually better with patients than OB’s.

  Not sure where my comment went…I will try again.

  Doctors are hired consultants that provide a service. My child’s health is NOT their responsibility, it is mine. I will not leave my children to be counseled by someone in a situation they may not fully understand. I remember as a teen wanting my mother to be with me no matter what in medical situations. Additionally not all MD’s are honorable and respectful of peoples choices.

  My best friend in high school was in for a simple physical. Her mother was asked to leave and then the MD, even though my friend was abstinent tried to coerce her to get a BC shot “just in case.” When she refused the MD began yelling at my best friend so loud that her mom heard and immediately returned and removed her daughter from the room. Now if a MD yells at an adult we have the guts and the gumption to get up and say “go away” and leave, she being a child (15) just sat there and cried until her mom returned.

  IF a MD needs to see my child alone. He/she will find themselves with one less patient.

  My local chick-fil-a cleans theirs once a day. I know because I have seen them do it many times. I don’t know if it is just the local one that is conscientious, but of all the fast food places I have been they are always the cleanest.

  You are a MD? So you know, I don’t want an MD with a cheap definition of life. Life, even difficult life is precious and to be protected. You don’t know, even as an MD what his ultimate situation in life will bed. I knew a young lady who had a similar condition. She is a beautiful young woman now. Her mom was given a terrible prognosis’ but they were wrong. Other than being a little small and having a slight speech impediment she looks perfectly normal today and lives a healthy life.

  People are not puppies. Their life worth is not determined by the quality of life they may enjoy. Their life worth is certainly not determined by a prognosis that is likely very wrong.

  Why is this even a story? The world is on fire in do many ways that it is ridiculous and Time does a story on extended breastfeeding……REALLY.

  On the times story.
  They deliberately put a three year old on the cover that looks like a 6 year old (some kids are big, but really unless you read the story you thought a 6-8 year old was nursing not a 3 year old) to sensationalize it. I nurse all my children to the age of 2ish (WHO recommended age), at which time they all self weaned very easily over the period of a few months. Attachment parenting is a wide wide field with people who vary greatly in their practices. I tend to think of myself as an attachment style parent (I have co-sleeper bassinet attached to my bed and I carry my little ones around in slings when needed), but not everyone who parents in this style does the same things. Some must use formula, some co-sleep, some have a crib in the room, it just depends. For those who said attachment style parenting puts a wedge between husband and wife…. my husband does not sleep in another room, he sleeps with me, and we are VERY happy.

  TSA agents you are wicked people. When you assault children remember this life has a way of repaying misdeeds like this in spades.

  As a side note….they can’t handle a four year old and hey are supposed to be there to stop terrorists? What a joke. This is not my America.

  Pastor Joel, be very careful here. James 3:1 says “Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.”

  There are many things you can say about Mormons. They are good people usually, they are family oriented, but to simply lump them in and say they are yet another denomination is not correct. God judges the hearts of everyone individually, however is much about the core theology that is in not in line with historical Christian theology.

  Nice police officers, nice. Now if there is a break in te case the whole thing will be thrown out for the “fruit of the poisonous tree”. You had no warrant, these kids had no lawyer, and no the children are not adults so they can’t consent. Easily tossed out in court.
