  • Will did a horrible job here. The question that should be asked over and over, again to people like Fluke, should government be able to tell a religious entity that they must disregard their beliefs? This has nothing to do with “employers” and everything to do with religious freedom.

  • Might they be afraid? The debates have had a tendency to sway votes, sounds like a bunch of chickens to me.

  • There was a group of college students who go to Cathoic school on C-span giving a press conference. Sandra Fluke was one of them. She claims that her friend had an ovarian cyst that grew very large because she was denied access to contraception and could not afford to buy it on her own. This is untrue, contraception in the form of birth control pills are available at every local health department. One of the students speaking did refer to the availability of birth control at their local health department but said it took too long to go there and you have to sit and wait too long. This student not only wanted birth control for free but wants to be able to get it ON CAMPUS.

  • What a stupid question!

  • She should have known what was in the bill before voting either yes or no. There were many protesters holding up signs that read “read the bill”. Maybe now she will understand why people have a problem with lawmakers voting on and passing bills that they have not read and don’t know what is in them.

  • Rick Perry Would Send Troops Back to Iraq

Every one of those candidate talk about how important it is to listen to military leaders and intelligence on the ground. Rick Perry is the only candidate that had to b—- to stand by that opinion and say he would do what military leaders and intelligence said should have been done in the first place. Obama was warned. Sectarian violence and a vaccuum left for Iran to fill began the day after the withdrawl. Support him or not but at least Perry didn’t say, I’ll follow the advice of military leaders and intelligence… unless it doesn’t poll well and hurts my chances at election or re-election.

I totally agree. I assumed (yes I know what it means to assume) the people here would listen closely, do their research, and make informed decisions. Apparently I was wrong, the comment section here is no better than any liberal comment section. And frankly, some of the reporting is no better. There seems to be a narrative playing out that Rick Perry said he would cut off aid to Israel. hHe said no such thing, what I get from what he said is that he is saying all foreign aid starts at 0 and from there we would determine who would get it based on their need and loyalty to the US. He’s saying we should not be giving foreign aid to countries that are our enemies or who are our allies but do not need the aid.

  • He answered the question asked. Might have rambled a bit but which person on that stage didn’t ramble at some point in time? The king of rambling is president right now.

  • Cain’s 9-9-9 plan (or 9-0-9 if you live in an inner city blighted area) is horrible. Romney is a snake oil salesman, I don’t trust him at all. Newt is a great debator but is a politician, he flips just as much as Romney. At one point in time, “he’s a real purtee talker” was meant as an insult. It meant, don’t trust him. Now, it seems to be a prerequisite for choosing someone for higher office. Perry’s plan to secure the border is the most comprehensive, common sense plan out of ANYONE else in this primary. Perry has addressed energy and how we need to deregulate and start producing more of our own energy, I don’t hear this from anyone else. His brain freeze could happen to anyone, but when asked if the EPA was what he was looking for, his answer of “No sir” showed his character. He could have lied and gotten out of the situation but he didn’t.

  • Detroitpaperboy: If you still think he was drunk or stoned during NH speech, you are doing exactly what the media wants you to do. His speech was funny and refreshing. The montage most people watched, and based their opinions on, was a hatchet job. When I saw the montage I was shocked, but when I watched the whole speech I was even more shocked. The montage showed Perry’s jokes out of context, showed punchlines with no joke, and jokes with no punchlines. I suggest you watch the whole thing. That is unless your mind is closed and you intend on choosing who the media tells you to choose.
