  • you’d be surprised, congress has passed some whoppers. I really hope they cut this one off though, before reversing Obamacare and slashing our behemoth programs and budget to ribbons so we can get this train back on the rails, but I have a sinking suspicion that the only thing that will stop our government is dismissing them and replacing them all. Even the ones like Bachmann who -while they may have the good of the country in mind- contribute to the insanity through acts like spending copious amounts of money on a campaign and then turning around and doing it again before they even finish out their term. Just my two cents, which may soon be worth .02 cents (as opposed to .02 dollars, just to be clear)

  • I know this is off the topic, but your statement begs rebuttal. Just for the record, that’s your belief. That doesn’t make it right. I believe that Christ died for our sins, but I also believe that my God is the same as Allah, Vishnu, and ALL other names that varied religions call Him by. Just like Satan has been known by many different names by many different people, I believe that God is known by many people as many different names. But, if you were to look at it like a father (or in this case Father) would look upon their children, you can’t imagine that anyone would damn any of their children to Hell just for not revering him in exactly the same way, as long as they show him their respect. So to tell someone they aren‘t going to heaven just because they don’t believe the same way you do… what would you say to your children if one said to the other that they were going to hell because, say, their bedtime routine wasn’t the same? It may sound silly to you, but to your child condemning the other it’s the way it should be done.

  • That… would be insane. But why do collaboration when one artist can do multiple exposures and combine them the same way he combines the light image with a regular photo? then the individual artist can get it exactly as they want it without having someone elses perspective possibly spoil their intent?

  • Yes, otherwise it would be light on black. He superimposes the light image over an actual picture to make ones like ‘gimme the loot’ because if you set a shutter speed of ten seconds in daylight, if you got an image at all, you would see a blur of him moving around. He even said he does the light portion in complete darkness, and never claimed that he doesn’t combine images, and you have to do it *somehow* gmoneytx you‘re misreading swampy’s statement, they‘re not saying that he photoshops the whole thing and he’s lying, just that there’s photoshop involved. And has to be, (or another program, perhaps) as I outlined here.

  • I‘m surprised they didn’t say it was a crazy right-wing nut…

  • Well… Now Obama can go out and say they created a couple million jobs with this rally, and claim it as a victory! Why? Because of the army they had to hire to pick up the trash! Nevermind that it would only be a short-lived job, they created it! Now we can REALLY say the recession is over! (Again) and that unemployment doesn’t exist because we created so many jobs! REJOICE!

  • Well… We *have* been increasing our population and lengthening our lifespans, and if you think about it our species is kind of like a virus… we reproduce and we spread, then we take over and repeat the process. We can’t keep producing jobs fast enough to match our expanding population, and no matter which side you are on (government should employ everyone, or government should employ only enough to keep us safe) OUR GROWTH is the single most unsustainable path we are taking. We can’t even feed everyone on the planet NOW even if you take food from ample farmland and take it to third-world countries, and there is NO getting around it! Death is a natural part of all life, and to deny death is to deny life and all that is natural. Do I want lots of people to die? No. But if you separate yourself from the situation or look at it from a different viewpoint, is it a necessity? Yes. Think of it this way: you have mice in your attic or basement, and you decide to leave them alone. They breed like, well, mice. Before long they have no food and have to leave their home in search of something to eat. You notice your cat got a mouse, and then a few more, and then they are running across your living room floor to get to your kitchen cabinets for a meal. Now you have to do something, so you call the exterminator and they eradicate the mice. But what if you didn’t call the exterminator? They don‘t care about the fact that they can’t support themselves, they just breed. They have to resort to eating each other, (not that they don’t sometimes anyway, but that’s besides the point) and even then they only slightly curtail the population explosion. But nobody wants to think about that, they just focus on the fact that they don’t want to see their dear old great-grandma Flo leave this planet. Or their husband, children, family, friends, coworkers, acquaintances… If you could make a list of people you never wanted to see die, how long would that list be? How long would each of their lists be? Discounting list overlaps, you can see how just saving everyone‘s ’inner sphere’ of people is already too much for the planet to sustain. So what’s the solution? How can we have our cake, and eat it, too?

  • You, sir, are an ignoramus. Nobody is stupid enough to kill a man for being a puppet, regardless of the color of his skin. Although, you have to admit that for claiming to be a Christian, this president sure is going out of his way to show how much of a muslim he really is. Alienating our close allies of Israel, supporting Iran, and handling their bold-faced ignoring of the nuclear sanctions against Iran with kid-gloves, being the son of a muslim man which according to their religion makes him a muslim anyway, the man is claiming to be a Christian just to try to keep eyes off him while he sits down to ramadan dinner (which you can‘t do if you’re not a muslim) when he can’t even be bothered to support the boy scouts like most every other president before him. I, for one, am *so* over the change that I voted for, and am ready to take it back for hopefully someone who isn’t a bank-owned and instituted puppet.

    In reply to Gregory.

It’s true, and it’s never been kept from us, it just never got any attention. They have been praying there for some time, and they will continue to. If they are having other meetings and training more muslims to fight against this once great country, they will continue to whether the community center goes up or not. What most worries me is that at the top they’ll have some sort of (in arabic) thing posted where you can read ‘this is what we did to them, and the spot you stand in is proof of muslim victory over western infidels.‘ I’m sure it’ll sound much better with a healthy dose of phlegm. Don’t get me wrong, I’m no racist, but I do believe that if a bully on the playground punches you in the gut that you have every right to rip their head off and present it to the principal as retribution.

  • Well, I‘m no ’truther‘ but you have to admit it’s pretty impressive that even with warnings nothing was done to prevent the attack. I mean, really? Once hijacked all the pilot has to do is say a word or two, to alert someone, or not check in with any towers, and the military gets put on alert. Granted, if memory serves, they were trans-atlantic flights so I‘ll give you that it wouldn’t be much time, but a pilot is supposed to check in as soon as they are in range of the airspace. You have to have the TV turned up pretty loud to not hear someone busting in your back door, especially after being told that someone’s going to do just that. Back on this subject, though, Ack*Plhegm*Jihad (partial Jeff Dunham reference, sorry) makes no sense what-so-ever and needs to be put into a little box that gets floated out to sea.
