There is more to nursing than just the nourishment aspect. It is comforting to a child. Why is something that is so special between a mom and a baby/child akin to porn for you people? I consider myself very conservative, but the prudishness and ignorance on this thread is sickening!

This is so ridiculous..and i don’t mean the picture. Breastfeeding your child when they are a toddler doesn’t make them into liberals or OWS or crazies. Just because it seems different to you or isn‘t your cup of tea doesn’t make it something that only liberals do or something that is wrong or gross. It is perfectly normal and healthy and should be continued as long as the child and parent want to. I’m a good Christian mother. I’m raising my children with conservative values, and they will not be asking for handouts or joining the OWS crowd. But I nurse them as long as they want to nurse. I’m currently nursing my son (8 months old) and guess what…we are planning on having several more children so he will probably end up seeing my breast (I don’t nurse with a cover at home). If we make bodies and sexuality gross, taboo, and embarrassing for our children then they will go and ask someone else about it. I’d much rather have my son be comfortable with the real purpose of a boob, than have it be over-sexualized and embarrassing for him.

  • Actually research has shown that children that are “attachment raised” have significantly less attachment issues and are considered much more independent and socially adjusted. They have built that relationship with their parents early in life and know that they will always be there and so they don’t have to work through those issues as an older child or teenager!

  • Why Did Ron Paul Skip CPAC?

Drago Libertarian principles were around long before the 1970s. Just because that’s when they got a name, doesn‘t mean that’s when they were created. Pretty sure the Founding Fathers were following Libertarian principles..they sure talked about liberty a lot…And let’s look at Coolidge, he was a pretty Libertarian guy. He said, “Liberty is not collective, it is personal. All liberty is individual liberty.” Ohhh sounds a little libertarian to me. The republican party was very libertarian, then it was co-opted by the religious right and neo-cons and we ended up with the modern GOP…moron…

TIME_2 Yes I am..and I’m showing my ability to do both by standing with Ron Paul! If you think my comments are mutually exclusive then you don’t understand where RP really stands!

TIME_2 Please oh please spell it out for me! So everyone in his district is incompetent or an idiot? Are you seriously comparing Ron Paul to Barbara Boxer and Cynthia McKinney? Earmarks..hmmm…blindly follow Pat Gray much? So I‘m going to guess that you don’t deduct your mortgage from your taxes, because that is specifically bringing money back from the federal gov’t to the individual and it seems that you are against that with your earmark comments.

I think you must live in my area. It’s going to be a split caucus, so Ron Paul’s playing a smart game. Don’t work harder, work smarter! Grab the delegates and when they have to vote…RP wins hurrah!!
