  • PETTYDRAMA, I take it you have not heard the stories covered by all of the other media sources otherwise you would note that they too are guilty of the same. If you have even followed the story from the beginning on the Blaze, you would have noted that the Blaze continues to urge readers to not jump to judgement. Would you rather see Zimmerman tried in the arena of public opinion rather than the courts?

  • How is it that this woman has a job teaching? Her comments are unsettling and shocking.

  • Bad apples are making it bad for all of you then. It‘s up to EVERY officer to gain back the public’s trust rather than look the other way when one of your own takes a huge dump on an otherwise law abiding citizen. Do you watch the news? A week does not go by when we all see a report of police corruption or their complete disregard for 2nd amendment rights. Here in the People’s Socialist State of Kalifornia, if you are not a cop, you are one of the little people. The police are ignorant of the voluminous gun laws of this state. A common man cannot know the complexity of gun law in this state and it is left to lawyers to argue. In this state, they wait for you to step over the line. It is not a matter if you will step over, it is when. They can then not only seize you legally carried guns, but can then seize all guns in your home (they know exactly where all the guns are due to mandatory registration).

My ex neighbor reported that I had military style grenades (I had grenade crates that I use for storage). The police department then proceeded to check my gun registration records and noticed I owned several guns (most inherited rifles and shotguns). I received a visit from the SWAT team just before 5:00 am and all guns seized during the search for the non-existent grenades. I had to pay a fee to get all of my weapons back (almost $1700). Our LEO leadership in this state hates gun owners and they take every opportunity to express that hate.

“Where is Romney’s Tax Returns, what is he hiding except a small fortune in off shore accounts.”

He has provided the returns, Troll. Do your own research as I will not do it for you. Take a Midol.

  • At what point in history did “victory” get redefined as taking out the leader to effectively end the war? It takes boots on the ground and occupation until a government is installed that can defend itself from internal and external threats. We did not kill the snake be removing it’s head because it is not a snake but a Hydra: Cut one head off and another grows in it’s place. You must strike at the heart to kill the Hydra, not the head. We are at war with radical Islam, the heart, and have killed many of it’s leaders, the heads that keep growing back.

Drone attacks are strictly for political propaganda when we all know that the only way to kill this serpent is through occupation of the serpent’s land and home. The serpent already occupies our land and is already changing our way of life here in the US through campaigns against “Islamophobia” and religious rights for Sharia law practice. What minds have we changed in their lands that are in our interest other than they hate us even more? Violent occupation by military force in a short period of time is the only answer.

I am Melvin Spittle and I approve this comment.

  • So how does that bear on this incident? The individual in your comment shot at police, but survived. Kelly was unarmed and at no time did he threaten the police, yet he was beat to death. There is no comparison.

  • @mobynowak I commute through Fullerton on the Metro daily and knew Kelly. He was never violent and not a thief. Kelly was a regular hanging out at the bus hub and NEVER was a problem. In fact, he chased a guy down to give him his cell phone he left on a bench. Yes he has mental problems, but so do many others (Autism, downs, etc.). Are you expecting rational behavior from the mentally disturbed and do you hold them to the same standard of conduct? Kelly had done nothing wrong. The officer was responding to a suspicious person call. No crime was committed by Kelly. How would you like the police to treat you in this manner if you were reported for being suspicious? I can tell you that I would not appreciate being cursed at with foul language by the officer. I did not see Kelly being disrespectful to the LEO. In fact, you can see he was complying up until the officer said to him “see my fist?” in a threatening manner and then proceeded to command him to put his effing feet out in front of him. Does not that attitude by the police seem to be threatening, disrespectful and very unprofessional? The officer intentionally escalated the situation to provoke a response. If I am not committing a crime, and am not under arrest, I should not be restrained as I am a citizen and a free man. There was no need to restrain him.

As part of my military training, I can attest that once you have been hit with a Taser, your muscles are in spasm and it is difficult to comply with voice commands

  • Is there a media correspondent industry standards and practices org? Obviously not. Commentary and opinion is passed of as objective news. Can they not just report the facts and let us decide? I guess we are just too stupid to think for ourselves so they do it for us in the form of emotional sound and video bites. News has become a propaganda tool to manipulate, indoctrinate, and mislead.

I don’t know about you, but I can still add 2+2 and come up with 4, though the propaganda machine comes up with 400.

  • @hillbillyinny Let me put it in a more realistic setting: A statistically significant ratio of African Americans are committing more violent felonies when compared to the same ratio of Caucasians. I can go on about the violence in African countries as well. So in your mind, what could this indicate? Would it be racist to even investigate the cause? In any case, there is no excuse for violent racial assault.

What would the headlines read if a Caucasian male was attacked by a mob of African American youths and the male pulled out his legally carried firearm and killed several of them? Judging from current events it would read something like this:
“White male guns down several black youths: Racist motive suggested!”

How long will we continue to carry the collective guilt of the past slavery elephant in the room? This guilt is a two edge sword that cuts both ways, devastating our society by continuing to treat minorities as victims of past wrongs that we must eternally pay for. At the end of the day, not one of those youths will be held accountable because to investigate this incident would be an indictment of an entire violent community of thugs. We can’t have that now can we? That would be perceived as racist to even make the connection.

When it comes to race, equal protection under the law could be taking a back seat to collective white guilt and fear of being branded “RACIST!”.
