  My take, after reading what he said about Genesis, is that his whole “conversion” was faked, just so he could claim “I tried Christianity, but the Bible was so ridiculous I just couldn’t do it”. What I also find fishy is that atheists always claim they know the Bible better than Christians do. Does he expect us to believe that an atheist activist DIDN’T know what Genesis 1 said beforehand?

  @ Clive – Wrong. He didn’t chase anyone, he followed. The prosecution can say anything they want, and will, but that doesn’t make them right. The aggressor was the one who turned it into a physical altercation.

  @ Doris – If you haven’t heard that Martin had a violent record, you haven’t been paying attention, or you’ve only been paying attention to the national media. And again, following someone is not illegal.

  @ Patty Henry – If Martin had gone home when he knew he was being followed none of this would have happened.

  @ JRook – How do you know police failed to investigate this? What do you think they were doing when they took him to the police station? You also have no proof that Zimmerman initiated the conflict. You also say he was not doing anything suspicious, but you weren’t there, so how would you know? Zimmerman said he was walking through yards and looking in windows. Basically, you’re doing what the media has been doing all along. Forming unfounded opinions about this case and presenting them as fact.

  @ Vote – At no point did he disregard police instructions. First of all, there were no instructions. He was told “we don’t need you to do that”, NOT “don’t do that”. Second, a 911 dispatcher is not the police. Third, if that’s all the evidence you need, I hope I’m never in court with you on the jury.

  @ Sophie – You’re right. They could discover video that shows Martin attacking Zimmerman with a crowbar, yelling that he was going to kill him, stopping to call his friends to brag about it, then getting shot, and a lot of people would STILL think Zimmerman was guilty.

  “the guy who plugged him because he was losing the fight” That is a misleading statement. If Zimmerman is telling the truth, then Martin was bashing his head into the sidewalk and then tried to take his gun, both potentially lethal, and justification for deadly force. Are you being intentionally disingenous to sway opinion against Zimmerman?

  I don’t know. Zimmerman doesn’t look 200 to me, unless he’s also taller than he looks. Besides, weight and strength are not necessarily related. If Martin played football, I guarantee he was considerably stronger than most people his weight.
