  • I like how the OWSers always complain they can never find a job. I’ve worked at Kohls for over a year now, and I know from my experience there, they hire new help constantly. New workers come in every month, and much much more during the holiday season, which they do not cut after Christmas. In my mind, seeing the way one business works, the reason these people don‘t have work is because they don’t want to go out and look for it. But perhaps the pay of businesses such as these, as Kohls does not schedule over 35 hours per week are below the standards of the protesters, who would rather do nothing and be handed thing free.

  • This article reeks of hypocrisy, as do most of the comments. I’m a Christian, straight, conservative person, And I believe in the principles of the Constitution. I don’t support this tree, but I certainly won’t condemn it.
Ok, so first of all its by the gay-STRAIGHT alliance. It’s not just gays doing this, so all the “blame” can’t go to them. Their freedom of speech is just as good as yours. You have the right to put up your nativities, and they should have a right to put up their AIDS awareness tree. Everyone complains that the atheists and non chirstians attack nativities and such, yet these same christians complain about others’ beliefs. Really, what gives you the right to criticize them when they cannot do the same to you?
Modern day christians are so weak. They go to church on the weekend and sin through the rest of the week. They believe in peace and love, yet are so busy attacking opponents they don’t live out their own beliefs. Christianity in its beginning was a beautiful thing, but now has just become a robotic religion of half-hearted brainwashed individuals who chant without thought prayers that mean nothing to them and condemn nonbelievers to an eternity in hell. Modern day christians disgust me, and I find myself quickly becoming disillusioned by the religion, and am exploring other beliefs in the hope of finding one that doesn‘t hate everyone who isn’t the same as them. But that’s my beliefs, feel free to bash me and hate me if you want.

  • @eliasim Who are you to judge this woman’s work? In tough economical times, you find work wherever you can get it. If she is having trouble making rent in her less than lucrative public school salary, Then she should be able to work other jobs. Should she quit her job at Hooters, fall behind her financial obligations, just so you can have your own opinions satisfied. Not everyone has the luxury of a job that pays for everything. In case you don’t know, coaches for high schools don’t get paid much at all, its more of an additional bonus to teaching. Just because she has to work another job, and Hooters is where she found it, gives one no excuse to bash her. Do you think that’s her dream job? I highly doubt it. As the old saying goes, don‘t judge someone until you’ve walked a mile in her shoes. You don’t know her situation, and to criticize her choices is sad.

  • Ah, ok, I get it now. Every blatant lie Obama has told wasn’t his fault. He couldn’t actually do that stuff because he first had to clean up the mess given to him. But guys, now that we’ve got that taken care of, vote for him again and he can turn this country around. Ok, I got it. Sounds believable. Wasn’t his fault, he’s the good guy. Yah, or I can vote for someone who actually cares about America.

  • Does This Design of Two Towers Remind You of Anything?

    December 10, 2011 at 11:47am

    In reply to MB1.

Did anyone actually go to the designer’s website? If you open the page for this particular building, the first thing they say is that they apologize for any WTC similarities and did not intend for that to happen. Also, this is South Korea, really, how many people actually know/remember the WTC incident? And even if they did, Skyscrapers aren’t exactly cheap. I find it hard to believe anyone would spend millions of dollars building towers for the sole purpose of mocking the U.S.

  • Does anyone know of any good, reliable online news sites where readers are actually educated and research things before spewing venom at each other? Clearly the Blaze is not such a site. Personally I have spent triple digit hours reading the news and researching in the past two months, and IMHO I believe Ron Paul is the best choice. Do I agree with all his ideas? No, of course not, I’m not an exact replica of him. But I do support his ideas for smaller government, defending our own borders instead of demoralizing our troops in wars that are more for financial gains than for actual freedoms. I like the ideas of restoring the beliefs of the constitution, restoring our freedoms. If you disagree with me, that’s your choice, you’re entitled to your own opinions. But I would like more sites where people put forth the effort to actually delve into the news, not just read headlines or rely on 30 second clips before making opinions one way or another. All I see on the blaze is people arguing back and forth, and maybe someone throws in a youtube clip or something. But for those people who actually put forth effort to understand everything thats going on on a deep level, this whole site and its comment boards are sad. So as I said, if anyone has any sites where readers have educated, logical discussions based on facts and evidence, I would love the help.

  • Obama: ‘I Didn’t Overpromise’ on the Economy

    December 10, 2011 at 10:37am

    In reply to Hatedemdems.

Employment isn’t dropping. They’ve just changed the way they calculate “unemployment.” It used to be if you weren’t working, you’re unemployed. Now they simply calculate who recieves unemployment benefits. So when your benefit runs out, you’re employed, whether you actually have work or not. So the number drops significantly, and it looks like jobs are recovering. I don’t get how and sensible, logical person who thinks for themselves could ever buy any of the crap Obama spews. He has lied on so many occasions its sickening. Yet people still think this communist should be re-elected. In all my pondering I have never once come across a single reason why he should be given another four years.

  • Why can Ron Paul not win the primary? He consistently polls top 3, and is often at the top. He has recieved more donations from the military than all other republican candidates COMBINED, and more than Obama. The troops trust him to do what’s best for the country. Look at his voting record. Absolutely perfect, never once voted to raise taxes, control guns, use an unbalanced budget. Paul has predicted all of the crisis we are in now. He has a better plan than anyone else I have seen. Screw the media for hiding his success. He dominates the web. I searched for joining the republican party, just to see what would pop up. EVERY link on the page was about voting for Ron Paul. This is the closest man to the founding fathers we have, and has my vote. He can win the primary, despite what the mainstream media may lead you to believe. I will not be led by them to follow their interests.

  • I have watched countless videos and read many articles over all of this. It is a proven fact that Ron Paul is being covered up by the media. In debates, time has been kept of each candidate’s time to speak. While several “popular” candidates recieve 12 minutes or so, Ron Paul recieves an average of 4. Paul consistently places amongst the top 3 in polls, if not number one. In this case, there are two alternative methods the media has used (over and over). They will either name other top pollers, ignoring Paul, or take him off the list completely and bump everyone up a spot. Ron Paul is being discriminated against, plain and simple. I full support this man and feel he is our best chance at saving the country. If you haven’t already, take 30 minutes out of your day and just look him up. If you don’t like him, that’s fine, it’s your free choice. But the least we can do is be responsible and look at our options. For the “best” explaination on why the media ignores Ron Paul, see the link: http://lewrockwell.com/dilorenzo/dilorenzo218.html

  • “The whole world is watching.” In every protest video, this is their chant. In every video, I have seen violent, rude, disrespectful prostestors generally cause fights, vandalize property, and shout obscenities, while the police force tries to remove them from the streets to more suitable places. Those that retaliate and try to fight the police or destroy property are arrested, as they should be. So, from what I have gathered, the whole world is watching a misguided group bring “shame” upon themselves and overall strengthen the convictions of the sane that these people are out to destroy America.
