  • regulations are not necessarily bad for the economy, when appropriate. Regulations should exist only to ensure lawful buisiness practices, and not to promote or influence buisness pracatices which the regulators think are superior to others. Regulations which prohibit fraud and theft are supportive of a freemarket and even playing field for all buisiness, thus promoting the healthy competition that capitalism thrives on. Regulations that go past this are interventions that work against the free market. Laws should always promote the abscence of injustice, not promote a legislator’s idea of what justice should be.
