  It never stops to amaze me. People train a dog to be agressive, encourage it to be agressive, punish it when it doesn’t act agressive, then want to kill it when it Does what a human teaches it to do. As a long time owner of many different breeds of dogs, I have yet to find a breed that cannot be trained to be “good citizens”. To me this is the same argument as “guns kill”. Like a gun, the animal is only an object used and abused by a human being.

  Chris Matthews, you are an arrogant, elitist, hypocrite. Shame on you for using your position in the media to spew the very vulgarity you claim to oppose. How dare you attack people based on how they pronounce words. Great way to avoid the points they make. It seems that you can “spin” what someone says to fit your own agenda. And when you can’t make the words sound the way you want, you revert to personal attack.
  The issue is, the American people are sick of you. We’re tired of people like you telling us what to believe, what to say, and how to say it. Yes, you have the right of freedom of the press. But the same Constitution that gives you that freedom also gives those who disagreebwith you the right to express their opinion.
  My grandfather always told me that you could tell the most intelligent party in an argument by how they stick to the issue. He told me the loser would resort to personal attacks. Mr. Matthews, by my grandfather’s criteria, you lose.

  ABC and PORTAGUE are to be commended on demonstrating how to civilly disagree and debate. I think you two did a great job. I have a mere 2 years of Econ and often get confused. And I agree with both of you on many points. I think the social security was a solution in need of a problem. It can be argued that the Depression of the 30′s was caused as much by government intervention as by Greed. FDR was a Progressive, and an admirer of Wilson. He sold SS to the People as a nest egg for Seniors. As soon as funding came in, it was being spent for other programs. Regardless of the accounting method, you can only pay out what you have available at any one time.

  Anyone just hear what Egypt did to the Internet? And someone wants to give POTUS the same ban on speech? It can’t happen in the U.S.? Want to bet your life on it? How about the lives of your children and grandchildren? If you don’t want to give up your speech right, why give up your right to determine how you handle your healthcare?
