  God bless Gabrielle Giffords! I think she made the right decision – first – and most importantly – for herself!! She has to focus on her recovery, and that’s what she said. Arizona will miss her, but I think they will do just fine, and they’ll find a new Representative. Although I personally think she may never come back as far as she was before the shooting (however, I‘ve seen it happen in people I’ve known who have had other types of brain injuries), I think Gabby has done extremely well with her recovery. I wish her nothing but continued success.

  @Dismayed Veteran – I’m sorry that your children had to face religious discrimination from your Mormon neighbors. I’m Mormon, and I came into the faith as an adult. I strongly denounce that sort of behavior, but that’s just me. I truly believe that there are individual members of all churches, regardless if it’s LDS, Catholic, non-denominational, Baptists, who are guilty of such discriminatory behavior.

  How quickly Catholics forget that they went through the same exact thing when JFK was running for President – and won!! History is repeating itself. I’m Mormon, and I’m proud of it, but that doesn‘t mean I’d vote for Romney or any other Mormon who would run for public office. For me, It’s all about conservative principles which include Judeo-Christian values. It also has nothing to do with the Republican party. In many ways, that party abandoned their conservative values just to keep their seat in both houses of Congress.
