  • To Yokel32′s points:

“The same science that allowed us to develop atomic weapons allows to determine the age of a rock. It’s called radioactive decay. It is not junk science.”

Take some time and look into the process of getting something dated. It is anything but pure science. So many assumptions are needed. They even make one give their “estimated date” before they’ll do the tests. Why do they need to know how old the submitter thinks the rock is?

“Climate science is not junk science. If you heat a beaker of CO2 vs a beaker of pure oxygen, the CO2 will heat faster. The more CO2 we have in our atmosphere, the warmer the climate is.”

Studies by NASA done recently have shown that the Earth radiates more heat into space at higher average Earth temperatures. The whole global warming theory is based on heat being trapped in our atmosphere.

You’re just another who refuses to look at all sides of a story. You pick your pony and seek only to support it. That is not a search for truth. That is an attempt to create your own “truth.”

  • Because people think she’s hot. Simple as that.

By the way, S.E., throw that shirt away. It’s hideous.

  • Now Sam Jackson‘s an idiot for voting for someone simply because he’s black. But ask someone, “Why did you vote / are you voting for Romney?” (Or Gingrich or whatever) How many of them respond with, “I don’t know, there’s just something I like about him. He looks like a president. He acts presidential. I don’t know, he just seems like he’d make a good president.” Same thing Jackson said. It’s just Jackson is more blunt about it.

Do I think Jackson’s an idiot? Yes. But that doesn’t mean his comments about how other people vote are far off of the truth. Regardless of whether or not it has to do with race, it seems to me like most people really have no legit reasons why they vote for who they vote for.

  • Go to jail for using the N-word? Ridiculous. This is so simple. The guy has the right to be a racist. He’s only shooting himself in the foot. The people he interacts with in business will eventually google him and see who he is. Then he’ll be a bum. What’s the problem here? We want to control people from being offensive? Get over it. The world offends people. Get used to it.

  • Who said anything about free speech? The lawyer didn’t say it it violates her First Amendment rights. They lawyer said it violates her Fifth Amendment rights. You know? As in, “I plead the 5th.”

    Pay attention.

  • Great commercial… But Detroit makes terrible vehicles. I know. I own one. It’s a big pile of dog poo. It’s the last “Chyrsler, Jeep, Dodge” vehicle I will ever own.

  • OMG, he’s got an “R” next to his name. We must support him! Don’t you dare say anything negative about him. Speak only happy thoughts. Because he’s a republican!

    Wake the F up.

  • Aerocog, you can’t be serious.

    /facepalm

  • Gingrich cheated on his wife/wives, no? He admits this, does he not?

So he’ll lie to his wife, but everything he tells you is truth… Yea, that makes a lot of sense.

  • And my father served in Vietnam. What’s your point?

I respect GW Sr and McCain for their service, but in no way to I think they did lead / could lead this country in the right direction. Serving in the military gives you a free pass to be an idiot? To spend money you don’t have? Other people’s money.

Here’s my question. How did your generation get sold the idea that retirement was a right? That as long as you paid your dues, you could relax for the rest of your life after 65? That a pension worth 90% of your yearly pay for 30 years is feasible? If it sounds good, don’t worry about the details… is that your point of view?
