  I’m a supermarket cashier and I see this type of thing all the time. It’s not unusual at all to see people using EBT money for steaks and bakery cakes, then make a second transaction where they’ll pull out wads of cash for their beer, wine and cigarette purchases.

  It is not a “gotcha”. It’s very clearly what these people believe, out of their own mouths. So many of my so-called “liberal” friends are not really scratching the surface when they knee-jerk deny that these ideas are being not only espoused but actively promoted. They need to see the truth. It’s not a gotcha, it’s the simple truth, and it need to be highlighted.

  I dare say that Jesus would not use crass language and such a derisive tone regarding this clearly troubled man. It is not up to us to judge, we leave that to God. We should be praying for him and showing God’s love through compassion and kindness.
