  THETREYMAN: anyone can list “military”, “vet” or even “baboon trainer” as their occupation when they make a financial contribution to a campaign… the libertarians & paulbots are famous for fudging just a little bit when it comes to the campaigns; they’ll vote over & over & over again in polls to make it look like ron paul has all this support… i also know of a libertarian who ran as a GOP candidate (in 2010) who claimed he’d gotten an enormous amount of campaign money, stretched out over all the counties in the district; when in fact 99% of the contributions came from his own pocket… don’t believe everything u hear…. as a lifelong military dependent (brat & spouse; now retiree spouse), i know for a fact that military don’t get involved in politics, and they generally don’t have the money to contribute. in fact, a large % of the enlisted are on food stamps… military donate to a political race??? that’s a crock of crap! kinda like the current president & his wife really connecting w/ & caring about the military…

  you neo-liberals are delusional when u think that ron paul has the majority of the military’s support… that is the biggest load of horse crap i’ve ever heard! for one… a large majority of the military DO NOT get involved in politics (it is frowned upon); and DO NOT provide financial support. my husband still doesn’t, and he’s been retired for 20 years! furthermore, ANYONE can “designate” their profession/occupation as “military” on the donation form… and, judging from what i’ve learned about libertarians since 2008, that sort of action is right up their alley (thinking they’re smarter than the rest of us). u guys pretend to be “true conservatives”, when in actuality, u r “fiscally conservative” progressives… u‘ve all proven that if your guy doesn’t get the GOP nomination (which will NEVER happen), obama gets another 4 years (handed to him on a silver platter)! way to go! u ought to be proud of yourselves; not only will the constitution be GONE; so will the libertarians….

  Rush is right… The supercommittee did what it was supposed to do: it was supposed to fail… I believe the progressive intention was to have it fail so they could GUT the military. Boehner lost my respect when he agreed to raising the debt ceiling & allowing for the creation of this committee. What a joke if anyone thought they’d ever agree on anything; at wasn’t part of the plan…

  And the good news Barney speaks of, is that this failure ensures the gutting of the military (cuz his & Ron Paul’s bill would never have passed in the house).

  so that’s how they do it…. i just figured they were lying when they made the claim that more military donated to paul than any of the other candidates…. my spouse is retired military & i know for a fact it’s a lie… paul has very little military support (active duty and retired)!

  wait a minute…. don’t call all paul supporters “the tea party”… the tea party is comprised of all sorts of people; some of them “happen” to be paul supporters… the paul supporters (paulitarians, paulbots, whatever u want to call them) happened to infiltrate the tea party AND the 9-12 project, in hopes of growing their numbers… please don’t knock the tea party by assuming they are all paul supporters…. i would say that the % is probably about the same as it is w/ the population… they’re real good at pretending their #’s are bigger than they are, but they’re not! AND, they’re spoilers (not just in presidential elections)!!!
