Turbeda I completely agree with you. I am adopted as well. I love my mom and dad and have no desire to look for the bm and bf. I know it is mean sounding but instead of biomom and biodad i just consider them the egg and sperm donors. I do appreciate greatly that she carried me for 9 months and gave me life. I will forever be grateful for that but this woman is waaaaaaaaaaaay off that a baby can never bond with adoptive parents. I’ve had a great life and this woman Jessica Delbalzo is a quack and anyone who listens to her need their heads examined. I think she is a fraud and a liar who is using and exploiting adoptees that are unhappy with their lives. This is not always because of their upbringing but just anger for one reason or another. shame on jessica for lying. Please if you are considering adoption don’t let this woman derail that. You giving your baby a better life than you can give at this time is truly a selfless act of love. There are alot of women out there that can’t have children that will cherish the gift you give. Also for those on the fence there are two types of adoption.. One is an open adoption where you get photos and contact with the child depending on how you structure it. The second option which is what my adoption was is called a closed adoption where you give the baby up and then you go on with your life with no contact. either way a reputable agency will offer counseling and they will allow you to pick the parents in some cases. Adoption is great.
Pavnvet I am sorry if my comment upset you. I first want to thank you for your service to our country. You kept us safe and paid a high price. I lived my whole life(until 17 yr old) on military bases. Like i said my dad is in the US Air Force. I am very proud of his service. I know and have known soldiers with severe PTSD and have helped talk them down during an episode. I can’t imagine what that is like in my wildest dreams. You are very correct that there are many with doctorates and degrees that deal with this very real illness. Mine was from 9/11 which is very different from a service member’s experiences. I am on anxiety meds to help me sleep and for when i have panic attacks. PTSD is not something a shrink made up to get money for whoever was so callous. It truly is a very real illness that can shape and transform a life dramatically. I can tell you personally here in CT where i live if i go to one town that has the VA hospital. I will see alot of vets in wheelchairs and walking around living homeless and it breaks my heart. I try to help them out when I see them. whether it’s some money, a cup of coffee and a meal and someone to talk to. To be honest if i won the lottery I would love to take a building renovate it and make it into low rent housing for soldiers. i’d even try to help those that cannot pay much of anything but maybe have a valuable skill they can do like carpentry or chef. Anything that gives them a positive feeling and their dignity back.
Addled yes PTSD is a mental illness. I mispoke and will freely admit it. What I meant is that yes PTSD is a mental illness but do we know that maybe he is a sociopath or just wanted to kill to see how it feels which I’ve seen alot of shows where that is the cause. No matter what this is a tragic tragic situation.
2addled I would like to say i think you misunderstood lube’s point. I suffer from PTSD myself. What lube is saying is he did have tours in Iraq and he never wanted to go around shooting innocent people. My father was in Vietnam and rarely talks about it. He saw his best friend die and I’m fairly certain he has PTSD just never mentions it and he would never shoot innocent people. What lube‘s point was that there are alot of people with PTSD that yes they have flashbacks and a hard time but that doesn’t cause them to run out and shoot innocent people.I think lube if i am correct is saying before everyone jumps to the conclusion that it was PTSD related maybe we should learn more about the guy. He may just be crazy or mentally ill and the PTSD plays no role in this. I am praying for the family of the ranger whose two little girls will never see their mommy again. I am praying for the poor people that their only “crime” is that they went to a new year’s eve party. Instead of enjoying the night with friends and family they were cruelly shot. I pray the critical patients pull through with no problems. May they have a speedy recovery. That goes as well for the other less seriously injured victims. May they catch this man before he harms another person. I ask this as I pray in your name God… Amen
That is shameful and disgusting. that mother should be ashamed of herself!!!!!! I think it is absolutely despicable to use a child. Be a woman and if you want to say something to her then say it yourself!!!!! This is to the mother of this sweet child. You are a pathetic excuse for a parent/woman. You are the biggest coward i have ever seen. I weep for the children of today because they don’t have the role models that we had growing up. I truly hope that this little guy grows up and becomes a great man.
Please everyone stop the bickering and all the back and forth on politics and religion. Instead of fighting amongst yourselves and trying to say i’m more right than the other person… just STOP get up take a deep breath and go hug your family and be thankful that you have your loved ones with you. A family mourns today for the loss of their loved one and the giant hole that is left with deafening silence. Hug your family and don‘t let a day go by that you don’t tell them that you love them. i know this might be alot to ask but could we suspend the fighting and just remember that regardless of how you feel about black friday and other things that the key thing today is that a man died a horrible death and most didn’t care. Let‘s just take a one day hiatus and mourn Walter’s death and pay respects to his wife, family and friends. I for one am truly sorry for their loss. Rest in peace Walter. Thank you for listening and reading my post.
WOW I think everyone has lost sight of the story. A man lost his life!!!! To Mrs Vance and their family along with Walter Vance’s employees and family. I am so unbelievably sorry for your loss and the apparent lack of humanity in that crowd the night your sweet Walter died. No one deserves to die the way this man did. Talk religion or politics all you want but you are losing sight of the fact that a family out there will have an empty chair at their christmas table and the rest of their lives. I’m not sure if he has kids or grandkids but if he does think about that. They are being robbed of a life without him. I won’t be surprised if they sue. I don’t care what the company policy says…. If i see a man drop I am going to run to help him. I would call 911 and then start taking stock of what is going and and do what needed to be done. It‘s pathetic that people are willing to let a man die rather than take a risk and save a life even if it’s against store policy. The woman who went into the pocket of Walter and called the wife to let her know what was going on is a true blessing. The three angels were the nurse, paramedic and this woman who called the wife. Can you imagine the worry she might have gone through had this woman not been so thoughtful?? Store policy might say stay back but common sense says to heck with that I‘m going to try my best to help this man on the floor instead of just watching this man’s life slowly and most likely painfully slip away.
I‘m not sure how many here have seen the movie Schindler’s list but there is a scene towards the beginning of the movie. One of the Nazi guards/SS started shooting people dead. The first discharge of the gun made me jump 3ft out of my seat in the theater. I’m not sure if it was the black and white effect in the movie or just a well made movie but I felt like I was there in real time. It was as if i was standing there with the jewish men, women, children walking to the ghetto. Watching freedom be yanked away step by step. Seeing the stripping of dignity and decency. I am with Glenn….. we must never forget and we must do all we can to prevent this from happening ever again. that’s my two cents. thanks for listening.
Absolutely unbelievable. It makes me sick to my stomach that people would be so hurtful and cruel. I will always stand with Israel!!! Only disgusting ugly people filled with hate would do such things. I am praying that this hate and anti-semetic ranting will stop soon. I will not forget!!!!!!! As a young girl I became interested in learning about the holocaust but more importantly about the Jewish people and their stories of survival. My first real memory of learning was reading the Diary of Anne Frank. I visited the house that she lived in during her time of writing to kitty. It was life changing. As I’ve become older I read as much as I can about survivors of the holocaust in their own words. I also have read about those brave people who helped hide and protect jewish families. In high school we got the chance to meet survivor’s of the holocaust who told us their stories and imparted their wisdom to us. I wish we could make sure all children in school could have this experience. Reading and seeing photos is one thing but to be face to face with a survivor learning from their life stories and seeing the actual tattooing on their arms it changed me in a very profound way and i wish everyone could have this experience so that they too will never forget. one last thing…. Our teacher for history did an extra credit project for our class. We had to see Schindler’s list and then discuss it…..
It really ****** me off that is pathetic excuse for a man lied about his military time. My father is a Vietnam Vet. He is retired Air Force now. I can tell you that he rarely talks about his time in Nam. i’m so very proud of my dad and what he did for this country. unlike fake boy my dad did go over for the first gulf war working in Operation provide comfort, It was a scary time, My dad was an Air Force pilot. He flew C-130′s and he also flew helicopters(IE baby Huey). I’d like to see this man brought up on charges for lying to everyone about being a war vet. That is fraud in my book!!!!!
