  Neil, you’re a fool. How exactly is the Gov. dictating to you what to eat? Show me, please, I’d love to know. If anything, by offering nothing but highly processed artificial foods, the Gov. was limiting options BEFORE this proposed overhaul, rather than after it. They are simply bringing in more healthy, empirically more nutritious food items. How is that bad? Parents can still feed their children whatever S***TY chemically enhanced garbage they want to; these guidelines don’t change any of that, and they aren’t even that strict to begin with. They deal with what the PUBLIC GOV. RUN SCHOOL carries, not what the parents can pack their children. Also, how the hell does this interfere with the border issue? THAT IS AN ENTIRELY SEPARATE ISSUE THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE USDA AT ALLLLLLLLLLL! Get that through your thick reactionary skull. The PUBLIC school can carry whatever food it wants to, and offer what food it wants to the children in THEIR care. If the parents don’t like it (why on earth would they be displeased with the fact that they are bringing healthy options I don’t know…… its like the twilight zone) then they can pack their children all the lunchables and hostess cakes they want to.

  Nutrition is based in empiricism, and science. Certain foods are better for you than others, and are less harmful in many ways. THIS IS A FACT. Long term health qualms may be avoided by eating certain foods, and most parents in America are in fact very much in the dark and uninformed when it comes to matters of nutrition. Study’s coupled with observations of the highest selling foods items is evidence to this fact. I‘ll be damned if I’m going to stand by and let these knee-jerk reactionaries squander a good bill that they fail to understand. This overhaul WILL NOT TAKE AWAY YOUR RIGHTS, and for the life of me I cannot possible grasp how anybody could find this bill a bad things. If you knew how atrociously artificial and processed the lunches offered by most public schools are, you wouldn’t be complaining. This bill is substituting out items that have been proven bad and even dangerous in the long term for foods that are more healthy. Real fruit juice instead of Gatorade, Mountain Dew, and High-C, healthy grains and fruit instead of highly processed french fired entirely void of nutrition, etc,. How is this bad?

  Prior to this admirable overhaul, THERE WAS STILL GOV INVOLVEMENT. The high sodium, high fat, filthy processed artificially colored junk food HAS BEEN supplied by the same people who will be supplying this new plan. NOTHING HAS CHANGED; school lunches may actually become more nutritious (OMG! NANNY STATE, EVERYONE RUN FOR THEIR BUNKERS!!!!), and thats a not cause for concern!!!!!!! You utter ignorance as to the rich variety of healthy foods available is laughable. Bread, water and bird seeds? ALSO, ONCE MORE, UNDERSTAND THIS:

  YOU CAN, AND HAVE ALWAYS BEEN ABLE TO PACK YOUR CHILDS LUNCH, SO F***ING DO IT ALREADY AND STOP COMPLAINING. Healthy alternatives for kids who‘s parents won’t pack them a lunch is A GOOD THING. Not to mention most parents are indeed ill-informed when it comes to feeding their children food that is actually healthy for them.

This is no miracle, and what about the victims who died brutally that day? What about that 9 year old girl? Where was god for her? She’s dead, and Gifford‘s isn’t, and that’s just the way the dice rolled that day. To speak of divine intervention given the nature of what happened is extremely laughable and absurd.
