  • So much vitriol in the posts here – really makes me sad. Whitney was a child of God – imperfect as we all are, but loved by Him nonetheless. I agree with Rev. Winnans who thanked Whitney’s mother for having the funeral service in the church and televising it – in this way she honored Whitney by bringing people from all over the world to church, if only for a few hours.

I may agree with some of the comments regarding Whitney’s self-destruction – but this is not the time or place. If you can’t be respectful, please take it somewhere else.

  • I LOVE Real News! Love the show, the format, the panels, the set – but they really have to do something about the camera work, I get motion sick from the continuous movement. I’m sure it is a style that they are specifically employing, but it often is just too much and winds up being distracting.

  • I did not get through all of the posts here, but did not see anyone mention that Ellen should also be giving a thank you to Glenn Beck. He addressed this issue on the radio one day this week – I believe it was on Thursday. He was very adamant that he disagrees with the flap over JCP hiring Ellen, and mentioned his own respect for her, her career, etc. I wish I knew how to call this to her attention.

  • @JZS – I agreed with you right up until your comment about Santorum – I do believe he would agree with O’Reilly on this.

  • Agreed Doot. I engage in discussions about politics with far-flung friends, people I would not be able to engage in lengthy debates otherwise.

  • There is no reason to have to do this. Make the pumps all pre-pay – I’ve lived in California so long, I forget that some places don’t have this already.

  • There’s no way for you to know how selfish or unselfish her life is. Her lifestyle likely allows her a good deal of “free time” – perhaps she uses that time to serve others.

  • @ RoseEllen – quoted from your post:
“Let them all return to what is now israel-and they would be satisfied to be part of that state now. ”

You have got to be kidding me! They would all be satisfied to be part of the state of Israel??? How many times have we heard calls for the end of the state of Israel, wiping out all the Jews, etc., etc.?? And you think they should just welcome them in with open arms and hope for the best??
Wow – wherever did you get those rose-colored glasses? They must be industrial strength!

  • You obviously haven’t spent much time in a college library in the last 10 years or so. Librarians are tucked away in offices, or they are on the main floor only and basically help with research – they do not police behavior in the library at all.
I actually have been a student at this school for 8 years – I also work in the library. As a student, this library sucks on ice during midterm and finals week. Students treat common study areas like a public study hall – get together with groups and do review sessions, etc. I finally got a repose from this once I was a graduate student – there are awesome study rooms that are available to grad students only, and they are very quiet. Before that I never “studied” in the library – unless I had noise canceling headphones on.

  • I may be totally wrong, but the woman in the second video that identifies herself as Virginia Richardson looks and sounds very, very much like the woman in commercials for diabetes care club –

    Anyone else agree?
