  • I couldn’t help but chuckle during the entire video.

    ARE THEY KIDDING US?

The left finds it abhorrent that someone in the media would publicly criticize a private citizen? First of all, what she said in front of Congress merits scrutiny and disbelief. That is what had me chuckling the most…that they actually took her testimony seriously. However, the second order of laughing was thinking back on all the times the media has done this to conservatives. Can anyone say JOE THE PLUMBER? Oh, believe me..we could go on and on with the examples.

Then, about midway through the clip, I saw an excerpt of the letter the 75 democrats signed. It said “abusing the public airwaves”. Now I understand what this ridiculousness is all about. Hear me now. This is the launch of the fairness doctrine campaign. The left is loaded for bear on this. They will go after it this year as it is an election year. They need to isolate, target, and discredit talk radio and other alternative media in an effort to silence them. And if they can’t silence them, they can create this issue for talk radio to chew on instead of the real issues, thus diffusing the conversation–much like they did with Santorum and contraception, Newt and Cain with infidelity, etc.

We can see this coming a mile away. Can our neighbors?

  • My understanding of the Tea Party is that it isn’t necessarily Republican. It has a major Libertarian and even fiscal conservative Democrat (is there such a thing?) component. Just because you co-founded a Tea Party chapter doesn‘t make you the moral authority on what should or shouldn’t be in office. In fact, the Tea Party has prided itself on independent thought through the ranks.
I’m sure many of you have seen some erratic behavior in Congressional elections by folks in the Tea Party. I’m saying this as someone who is happy about the Tea Party and has attended/supported rallies locally. Btw, this idea that somehow TEA=Conservative is exactly what Santorum expressed his concerns about in the ad that Paul put out trying to tear Santorum down.

  • Does anyone but me think this headline might be related to this one?

  • This poll is flawed from its foundational question. Income doesn’t equal rich. You could make $300-$400K per year, and if you poorly manage your money you could be in the same crap pile of debt many others are in. Rich should never be defined as income. It should be defined as assets. i.e., If I have a large nest egg that pays me a rich annuity, then I can be considered as wealthy. If what I own largely makes me not reliant and dependent on others to take care of my temporal needs and wants, then I can be considered well-off. However, if I have a great job that pays well, I’m not rich–I just happen to have an income that contributes that has more potential to contribute more whole dollars to the economy when I spend it. So, folks, why ask these people to give even more to a government that by definition cannot grow an economy?

  • What can I say…

This President is going to go down as the single biggest failure in American History. A weak-minded political hack community organizer who never held a real job, and he never showed an ounce of leadership his entire one term.

If I were running against BO, I would collect all the non-leader moments. To name a few, start with his scolding of the SCOTUS in his SOTU, then maybe show him claiming we’ll “lead from behind” with Nato. There have to be dozens of moments like this. Condense it all into a 30-45 second commercial and buy up time in swing states.

  • There is absolutely no proof of your claim. People may “feel” that way, but it isn’t because they were born in the wrong body.

  • No Dad in the picture. Classic.

  • Guitar Master,

You will still make out better under 999 without the mortgage deduction. What part of his plan led you to believe that this deduction would stay? He said 9% less CHARITABLE deductions.

If you want to keep what we have with all the credits, penalties, and deductions that make up the thousands of pages of IRS Tax Code, be my guest. Think it through man. Under 999, the mortgage industry would thrive despite personal deductions.

  • For a short while I was really rooting for Santorum as an underdog. I like his message around family, and I like his conservative views. Unfortunately, his negative blasts cast a dark shadow over his campaign. This guy, instead of having a differentiated plan, chooses to pounce on anyone and everyone in the primary that pull into a lead. He has attacked Romney, Perry, and Cain at every opportunity.

This latest attack on Cain is unfounded. There is a mile-high stack of evidence proving Cain is pro-life. It just doesn’t make sense to go after a fellow conservative like that. He is only helping the one he should go after more – Romney.

Now I know why Santorum has lost races in the past. He just comes off as negative/angry

    In reply to Tacitus42.

    @10thamendment

I agree with your point on Newt, but I don’t think any of the candidates pass the purity test on constitutionalism. (I know I’m inviting the RP supporters with that comment…but I’m not discussing my opinions of RP in this comment). I also don’t pretend to believe that any of them are going to pass any purity test. I do think Gingrich has it in him to do what he did as Speaker. I think he has the capability of changing the trajectory of this Country to a positive one.
