  I remember the huge outcry when John F. Kennedy was campaigning for POTUS. The media and his opponents warned of Rome dictating the policies of the United States as the Holy Roman Empire did for centuries in the past. Kennedy overcame religious opposition from both parties to win the election. Those fears of the Pope dictating policy to the President were baseless. Unfortunately, as Glenn has pointed out numerous times, there are always the men in the shadows to which he may be obligated to. Fabian Socialists, Skull & Bones etc. Those affiliations need to be brought into the light of day. If the LDS or Catholic churches controlled their members actions neither Reid or Pelosi would be the members of their churches today. Disagree with Mitt Romney on his record, platform and use the questions about the Constitution as a litmus test but don’t be fooled into voting against him as a viable candidate based on his membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. BTW, I find it very interesting that the makers of the above film chose an ACTOR that looks much more like ROMNEY THAN JOSEPH SMITH.

  I am with you! Around here the do this to the poor mulberry trees every few years. It is ugly and a dumb way to trim trees. It violates their natural shape and crape myrtle trees are very beautiful when trimmed correctly.

  SURPRISE! I AGREE WITH THE CITY!! If the trees on on city easement, the city has the right to regulate their trimming. This is one issue that is not just about property rights but about city regulations, older ones too.The practice of pol-larding or chopping a tree back to stumps is a traditional practice that no arborist would recommend. It violates the natural shape of the tree and stresses it almost to the point of dying. If I had to look at their butchered trees everyday and could find a way to get them to quit or replace them I WOULD FINE THEM TOO.

  Read the story again. The driver was cited because they STAYED AT THE SCENE. They hit the stroller and woman because they walked from behind a large van into the path of their suv.

  As far as the comments about her ability to read English etc. anyone who lives here in Arizona with the many thousands of Mexican immigrants, legal or illegal, has noticed their propensity to walk across busy streets wherever and whenever they feel like it. The surprise here is that she is in a crosswalk…no surprise she disregards the traffic light. It seems to be a Mexican cultural norm that does not translate well into the more regulated traffic habits of US drivers and pedestrians.

  My two year old grandson and his brother love toy guns. His dad just got a rifle and he knows how to pull the trigger and is very excited around guns. We have discussed gun safety classes for the whole family and a gun safe. AN ALMOST THREE YEAR OLD CHILD CERTAINLY CAN AIM AND SHOOT A PISTOL. I have watched our own boys do it. LOCK up the guns and teach everyone in the family proper gun handling. Our ancestors did it for two hundred years but then again they didn’t have video games and TV as examples.

  Remember the 20007 Kenya election? After the Christian candidate won, machete wielding Odinga supporters launched a pre-determined slaughter of Christians in protest of the results. Did America protest? No, we sent Ms. Rice to negotiate a compromise and allow the looser to be named prime-minister, a concocted office. Odinga, a communist, had promised to insitute Sharia law. Another example of the organized progressives support of jihadist revolution.

  African Muslims know violence will work.

  Odinga ran for office as an anti-American candidate against Mwai Kibaki who is a pro-American Kenyan leader and who prevailed in the 2007 election. Obama’s father was a member of the Luo tribe which is the same tribe Odinga belongs to. Obama had supported Odinga with personal appearances and funds.

  And once again is was McCain who recommended we take the Muslim’s side. The Muslims who were advocating for a separate state of their own which happened to include the ancient capital of a sovereign nation.

  The Tea Party participants are trying to sift the wheat from the chaff in both the Democratic and Republican Party. They are both rife with those who drape themselves in the Flag or attractive labels. Until someone like Glenn Beck does analyze their actions and not just listen to their lip service and sound bites then so called “conservatives” like Huckabee will stay under the radar. The Tea Partiers don’t want to form another party, they want wake-up the true majorities in the existing ones to vote into office those members who love this country, understand the U.S. Constitution and are not trying to buy their way into permanent power with social programs that will bankrupt our cities, states and federal government by redistributing wealth through taxes. Huckabee’s track record belies his conservative posturing. If he runs for POTUS he most probably once again be the spoiler primary candidate.

  Mr. McCain, retire already you tired corrupt old man. You are playing the war game and consistently pick sides with the Muslims that are trying to take countries by force. Yet again you side with those who hate the west. Who really has you in their back pocket? You don‘t represent Arizona’s best interests except about 20 minutes before you run for senator every 6 years. We have jihadists running over the AZ border but you are more concerned about amnesty for the illegals and their votes keeping you in office. Take your trophy heiress wife, snotty little b of a daughter and retire already.
