Christian Man Demoted With a Pay Cut After Posting Anti-Gay Marriage Facebook Comments
October 27, 2011 at 10:16pm
Am I the only one who seemed to read the article, stating that this happened in ENGLAND? Not in the U.S.? So the constitutionality of the whole thing becomes a moot point, but anyway. No company should be able to hire, fire, demote, promote employees based on their personal views. At least that’s not the reason can give, if they do, see ‘em in court. Otherwise, the opposite could be applied by this man. “I don’t like all of the drinking and partying and promiscuous attitudes of my co-workers that I saw on Facebook, so they should be fired/demoted AT WORK…” See how ridiculous that would sound…?
Girl Scouts Reverse Stance and Accept Little Boy Who Wants to Join
October 27, 2011 at 10:01pm
@seanscythe “Transgender Scouts” had me rolling on the floor laughing… But seriously, I think it is sad. Like an earlier poster wrote, no one bothered to tell the kid, “Hey buddy, Girl Scouts is for GIRLS and even though you may not like it, you’re a BOY.” And I hate the way people who subscribe to the nonsensical notion that they were ‘born in the wrong body’. Wait, are you saying then that God made a mistake? Well that certainly can’t be true (by definition) so what is it? What many in the LGBT ‘community’ fail to acknowledge is the group’s own internal contradiction:
We are told that ‘gays are born this way (thanks, Ms. Germanotta), that this is how God made them and we, as a society, should just accept them. But in the same breath, they say that the identity in their minds doesn‘t ’match’ the body that God created, so they should be allowed to reassign themselves to correct this ‘mistake.’ So wait, why don’t the gays and lesbians tell the transgendered, ‘You should just accept how God made you, because God made you that way…’? Or transsexuals should pop off to the gays and lesbians, ‘I am trying to correct the mistake that God made and you all are just making a mistake about your sexual identities.’ So which is it, a mistake? Or a choice? God did this? Yeah, sure…
College Professor Offers Students Extra Credit for Attending Occupy Protest
October 15, 2011 at 7:42pm
What I’d like to know is, if, based on her email description of the assignment, could a student go to the rally and then present a sign that said, GREED IS GOOD! or CAPITALISM ROCKS! or with a picture of Ayn Rand on it… would they receive the same ‘extra credit’? It never specifies that they have to espouse the same views or hold up a similar sign/banner. What if I DON’T believe the same thing, but she wants me to participate? Why shouldn‘t I get the same ’credit’ for participating?
Hip-Hop Mogul Joins Others in Calling For the Rich To ‘Pay Their Fair Share’
October 2, 2011 at 11:30am
No one is stopping Mr. Simmons or Mr. buffet from sending in a check to the IRS… And for that matter, if ‘everyone is entitled to a ’fair share of the fruits’, Mr. Simmons, you can send me some of that $340 million to level out the playing field in your support of wealth redistribution… I promise I won’t complain… Go ahead… Send it now… Just go right on ahead and send it… Right now… I’m here… Ready for that check… I would also accept bars of gold… So go ahead…
‘Obama Fried Chicken’? If You Go to China…
October 2, 2011 at 11:19am
I think ‘wonderboy’ missed the point of my response… 163 and 199 seem pretty bipartisan to me…. So broad brushstroke generalizations like yours are inaccurate. The best part? Martin Luther King, Jr. himself was a registered Republican…

@WHYWONDER Okay, wait, I officially have to apologize to ‘wonderb—’ uh, whywonder, here. I think he might REALLY be a 7th grade kid typing in this comment section. ‘China got all of our jobs as a result of NAFTA…’ What kind of stupid garbage is THAT?
‘Obama Fried Chicken’? If You Go to China…

I love how clever WHYWONDER thinks he really is… it might as well be 7th grade snark all over again… you DO know what ‘snark’ means, right ‘Wonderboy’?
‘Obama Fried Chicken’? If You Go to China…
October 2, 2011 at 10:51am
@why wonder… Actually, I think you’re mistaken sir. The voting record for the 1964 Civil Rights Act is as follows: Republicans in favor = 163, Democrats in favor = 199; Republicans opposed = 41, Democrats opposed = 112. This would mean more DEMOCRATS opposed the legislation than Republicans. If you’d like, I can list voting individually here by each representative’s/senator’s name and state… Put THAT in your well educated-pipe and smoke it…
Cali Supreme Court to Hear Gay Marriage Opponents’ Prop 8 Arguments
September 7, 2011 at 11:46am
@tomferrari I think your own argument is what will be your own undoing. If marriage is solely a religious construct, which I believe it is, then you’re right, the gov’t. has no involvement in the issue. But then, why does the homosexual movement ‘demand’ that the gov‘t at all levels ’recognize‘ their unions as ’valid ones’? If two believe that they are married, then let them stay committed to each other monogamously. God will be their ultimate judge of ‘right or wrong’. Leave it to each individual or institution to decide if they will ‘allow’ certain ‘relationships’ to be recognized (hospitals, insurance companies, etc.) If they don’t want to, then neither you, the movement, nor gov’t. can then mandate that they do…
