  This is obscene but it has been going on for many years. [In Michigan] My son referred to another student he didn’t know as “hey, little black boy” when he was trying to get his attention to speak to him in 3rd grade. The school called me in – I immediately expressed my outrage and told them they had better re-think punishing him. It remained on his record, but they decided no punishment was warranted. Wise choice – I’m not litigous, but I would have made an exception in this situation. My young and naive son said that he didn’t know how else to address him when “hey” didn’t work!

  Yep – I am SO screwed! I drive 120+ miles /day, and I’m sick of this BS revenue generator under the guise of saving me from myself. What’s the difference if I hit a deer at 55 vs.75? It’s going to be horrible either way.
  Besides, the most dangerous drivers I see on a daily basis are the ones too afraid to drive, impeding the normal flow of traffic.
  They have it completely backwards. What a surprise… Wait!! Public transportation will be sooo much faster and safer, right? Make it too expensive/miserable to drive anywhere yourself, then you’re far easier to convince that public transportation is the logical choice. Nice…

  The asset testing method could be abused potentially, no doubt about that. There has to be a better way. However, what other option is there to nail these losers that ride a $25,000 Harley and “can’t work” [like my ex], and get them off their a$$es and off of the state’s dole?? Some “can’t” pay child support, yet it’s OK for MY tax dollars to support them? Really?!?
