What?! Where on earth have you been that you haven’t been able to ever meet a single Christian who could explain the faith or the Bible? I can explain it well enough, and I’m sure lots of others can too. Oh, don’t forget the scores of theologians who have studied and thoroughly examined the bible for centuries not to mention anyone who lives in the Vatican and whose sole responsibility is to understand God and His will, guided by the Holy Spirit. Your comments don’t make sense, and they come off to me as utterly ignorant.

Atheism eventually leads to immorality. Time and time again this has been shown through history. If you read the histories of the Soviet dictatorship in Russia, Communism in China, and the French Revolution (the leaders of which tried and failed to eradicate Christianity in France) you might understand that while human beings are born with a sense of morality, we can do terrible things. If we didn’t need God and everyone followed morality naturally, then I doubt that the horrors during the world wars and communist dictatorships would have occurred at all. The reason our own revolution didn’t become a nightmare like so many others was that most of the founders believed in the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. They didn’t excessively hate the king because they believed that as a human below God, he was fallible. They merely wanted to govern themselves without the annoyances of being governed by a country that would not represent them and was, in any case, across the Atlantic ocean. Because of their belief in God, they recognized individual rights of men – rights that had been given by God, therefore being rights that no one could take away. The notion of having a God checks both our arrogance and our actions, and frankly, if you believe otherwise, you’re deluding yourself.

  • People who don’t follow Christ have an inner insecurity about themselves (perhaps God‘s voice telling them that they’re on the wrong path?) They’re not sure if what they are doing is right, so they make truth relative – every sin has ten condition under which its no longer sinful – so that they can look themselves in the mirror. Sin itself is a rejection of the truth. But then, they see honest hardworking people who do follow Christ and are not afraid to say it. Christians acknowledge their wrongs, apologize and attempt to reform their behavior.

What happens when liberals see this? They immediately feel intense inner insecurity, and they put down Christians so that they can feel better about themselves. It’s the same phenomena that occurs in high school bullies. They try to find evil in everything (hey, isn‘t this the theme of about half of all the sappy TV shows and movies that have come out since the 1960’s?) especially Christians so that they can say that we’re all the same and everything is relative. It’s just not true.

But the really sad part is when sometimes real Christians are conned into believing this (it’s happened to me, thank the Lord I took a second look at things, and probably a lot of other people)

  • Yes, I really wish the Blaze had like buttons for articles and comments. I thought of that before- it conveys a lot of meaning without making someone have to read through 5 paragraphs of comments (no offense to anyone) And Tim Tebow is an awesome role model.

  • It’s people like Press who are a disgrace. Christians who actually speak their mind must scare the living daylights out of liberals for them to react like this.

I also really hate the way Press tries to twist Jesus’ words to justify his own behavior. Like he cares. Everything now is so anti-religion that its a relief to sane people when we hear someone acknowledge his faith.

  • It’s so true, the forces of darkness are attempting to destroy Christmas… and now everything else related to Christ. When does it stop?

  • Said perfectly :)

  • I have to say, I’m so glad I came upon this story. It makes me feel like there might be some hope for our crazy world. I really hope Melinda grows up well :)

Also, why is everyone saying that these people are illegal? Even if they are, its irrelevant. I may be wrong, but Guido looks more Italian than Hispanic to me. hmm….

  • Why is this not reported anywhere else? Well, Egypt got its “democracy” with the wonderful Muslim Brotherhood as a special add-on…. the Christians in Egypt have amazing bravery, and they should be commended for it.

Since I’ve never heard about this anywhere else, I wonder who else has heard about it that might, o say, give Egyptian leaders a good talking to (hint, hint, now would be a really good time for Christian organizations, world peace movements, and the Vatican to say something…)

    In reply to mike7050.

I would love to fire Barack Obama in next year’s election, but I don’t know if that would help much at this point….we’re so far in the pit, its depressing.
