  absolutely marriage is only a privilege…but denying privileges to people based on status is not permitted according to the 14th amendment. Is drinking water from a public fountain a right? no, it is a privilege, but denying access to people based on their skin color (which is a status of race) denies those people a civil right. Here is a better example: Lets say you think old people drive badly and make the roads dangerous, so you pass a law where old people aren’t allowed drive after 65. This would be unconstitutional because you are not treating them equal under the law. However, if you passed a law taking away driving privileges when you get a ticket for driving in the median or driving 25 in a 65mph zone, this would be based on legitimately dangerous actions and would be permitted. look up civil rights before you start defining them for the general public. thank you.

  I was reading on this site that what is really scary, is when muslims pray 6 times a day. So logically, praying is only good when you pray for christian things, right? I also read on the blaze how many people were praying for ‘bad’ things to happen to obama, so it must be okay to pray for christian things and to pray for harm to befall your enemies. Maybe prayer is a bit misunderstood because I don’t like these rules.

  For some reason, I cannot believe that a statistician believes in the power of prayer. Maybe a statistician could believe in god and go to church every once in while, but they don’t really believe the literal bible and only go to church to see friends and such. You could be a elementary school math teacher, that teaches your kids about percentages and ratios, but not a statistician. You see, a statistician knows about probabilities and I can’t think of anything so improbable as religious doctrine…It’s not an insult on religion, it’s just the facts. That’s why it relies so heavily on faith. So, either you are a bad statistician, a teacher of basic math who has self-esteem issues, or maybe you are just saying that’s your job so people give some respect to your assertion that you KNOW prayer works.

  I like your comparison…because both happened a long time ago, but there are some subtle differences I think. One, Obama was fed dog rather than making some choice to eat his pet–romney can’t really claim his bullying was something he was made to do. Two, Obama talks about this in his book–admitting to it without a prompt from the media. Three, Obama does not apologize for eating dog, Romney apologizes for the bullying but does not apologize for putting his dog on the roof of his car.
  Similarities between the two acts are interesting too. They were both young and they were both acting in line with evangelically christian tenants (animals are part of man’s dominion, homosexuals are to be hated).
  Just trying to be objective, maybe I missed something???

  Before everyone jumps on the ‘slut’ boat and gets all nasty calling this woman names…please understand that no matter how many times you have sex, you only need to take 1 pill a day. She could be having sex 10X/day or once a year, she could be in a monogomous relationship or she could be hitting the bars every night….it doesn’t matter, because her point is that insurance should cover birth control for any woman in this catholic institution, just like it would cover viagra or heart medication.

  I don’t want to start an argument, but philosophically, why are domesticized animals so protected? I feel similarly, that this was cruelty and should be punished…but I don’t understand why we tolerate the inhumane slaughter or cows, pigs, even chicken. Arguably, chicken are stupid and cows and pigs are not ‘cute’, but pigs are the 3rd smartest mammal and can be domestic. Do Americans tolerate the vicious killing of these animals simply because they taste good?

  I for one, have always suspected bugs bunny of being a pinko commie and I have boycotted looney toons since i was a protozoa. I used to like daffy duck until I realized his lisp made him one of those gays…pushing their agenda against christ. Don’t you just love how the liberals made elmer fudd stupid and gave him a speech impediment?? They are obviously trying to indoctrinate children and destroy the second amendment.
