  • The only reason you think Rush (and by extension me and all of his other fans) is a misogynist is that you are an insecure man hater because you can’t admit that the reason your husband or boyfreind is such a loser is that you are not much of a find.
Now that you understand what it is like to be on the receiving end of a prejudicial view, lets try asuming that you and I and Rush are decent people and want this world to improve. From there we cn see that Rush does not seek to degrade Fluke or other women, but to protect women from the assumption that women cannot make wise decisions. The underlying assumption of Fluke’s demand for birth control pills to be paid for by Georgetown (and their paying students and other benefactors) is that a student who has qualified for their law school is not smart enough to figure out how to come up with $50/mo or get their boyfriend to help or go without. For this false assumption, the insurance rates for the Georgetown student body who so far have been taking care of it themselves will go up.

  • And yet we let him get away with it. He also said in the press conference that candidates attacking the strategy in Afghanastan shows how uninformed they are about how things really work when your president.
Really? And none of our brilliant conservative leaders takes the occasion to remind the public of the uninformed, naive attacks on the sitting president’s war strategies from four years ago?
We are doomed. If the leaders on the right miss this one, all hope is gone.

  • Gary Johnson? Wow lets jump on his bandwagon, I think its a Radio Flyer, there’s plenty of room in there.
And Ron Paul? We need someone who can explain that what’s wrong with Banks, Wall Street and Big Business is NOT that they are all crooks, its that the crooked few are asking for MORE regulation (and volunteering to be the regulators). Too many Ron Paul supporters would destroy Walls Street to try to fix it.

  • The questions noone has asked Obama are: “If you don‘t totally agree with Jeremaih Wright’s teachings, What is your balance? Who else do you look to for a different take and on what issues? How did you make sure that your children who also attended this church did not get infected with ideology you have said you disagree with?” As Glenn Beck says, I will accept that you do not stand for everything in your past when you describe your turning point.
I think Santorum is the ideal candidate to challenge Obama’s beliefs because he is rock solid on the source of his beliefs.

  • Stop with the “electable” crap. Electable means: “We are too stupid to convince people to support our ideas, so lets vote for someone who can’t tell us why he believes anything so he can change his mind if he needs a few votes.” Romney is the GOP insider pick. For those with short memories the insiders not only picked McCain, G. W. Bush, Dole and G. H .W. Bush they also picked Ford. Reagan defied the establishment in 1976 and lost. He came back and beat the establishment in 1980.

  • Thanks HUCKSQR
People are people. There will be good and bad in any group. Their presense or claims to membership in the group does not support or negate the beliefs of the group. In many cases, people claim mambership in a group as cover for their subversive behavior: Pedophile priests, Progressive Republicans, Crony Capitalists, Abu-Graib “soldiers”, Moderates. What separates the better systems from the dangerous ones is what happens to those who are exposed. When there are no competing organizations or open processes, the subversives gain and retain control.

  • TEAHADIST
The only one connecting behaviors to race is you. I saw a list of behaviors that lead to failure for anyone. Many of those practicing these behaviors so do based on a bigotry against success. Such as the age old “hate crime” of stealing because the rich don’t deserve what they have. It is no surprise that those who practice one kind of bigotry will self-isolate and practice other forms of bigotry to perpetuate the cycle of behavior.

  • “Under Capitalism man exploits man, under Communism the reverse is true.”
The reason Communism and Socialism always devolve into repression is a simple law of nature. In fact, it is essentially Darwinism.
Under Capitalism, goods and services are distributed based on the relative power of individuals to exercise their will. Power is measured with money which increases as one provides goods and services and decreases as they are consumed.
Under Socialism, money is replaced with political power which increases by instilling fear that more goods and services will be confiscated from those who object and planting the hope that more goods and services will be given to those who provide political support.

  • Remember: The baby Jesus was born when his dad was sent from where he lived to where he was born to be counted for taxes.

  • Yes LAMBO. Now screem it from the hilltops. (Or on social media to your liberal friends).
If I wanted advice on the most efficient way to help the most with $1 million, I would not choose a federal employee who earns $150K. I would ask the successful business person who has instead chosen a career path where they earn $5 million or more. If instead, I told that business person “I will ask that federal employee to try to outsmart you so they can take $1 million more of your money to spend on something you do not support,” I would be an idiot to think that the business person would not be smart enough to prevent that from happening.
When talking about how much the rich pay in taxes, we need to use actual numbers. For example: A couple filing jointly with two kids pays $686 on $50K AGI (1.4%), $8644 on $100K (8.6%), $26225 on $150K (17.5%), $42225 on $200K (20.1%) or about $300K on $1 million. These are with standard deductions, but in most cases claiming higher deductions cannot keep pace with the increasing tax rates.
When anyone says “The rich should pay more,“ ask how much their AGI is and ask ”How much less than $700K should the rich have left from $1 million?”
