• Study Seeks to Explain Disproportionately High Unemployment Numbers in Black Communities

  The reason the black community has disproportionately high unemployment is:
  1)They are riskier to higher because of “Affirmative Action” and Government intervention into their hiring and firing. It is a potential nightmare headache to risk hiring a black person that may say they were fired because of skin color. NIGHTMARE. Smart businesses hire whites, Asians, Indians, Middle Easterners, and everyone else without the fear of Government intervention between the business and the employee.
  2)The black community surrounds itself around a “be different, keep it real” culture that applauds braids, gold teeth, saggy pants, high violent crime, ebonics, and fatherless children.
  3)The Democratic party has instilled a “everyone owes us” mentality in the black community that has left them expecting paychecks for little work. There are to many hardworking other people to risk hiring a black person.
  4)Black people are the “face” of Big Federal Government in everyone elses minds. Whenever I see a black person applying for a job, all I can think about is “The black community is responsible for all of the Government intervention I have in my business”. It harbors resentment and disdain.

  There is no need for a study. Businesses would be more than happy to anonymously tell you all of these things. We all discuss it anyway. EVERYONE already knows the problems and why they are happening. WAKE UP!

  I feel the same way you do Drippy. I used to read the articles and do some posts but the site has become tired. It rarely has new articles, and when they do they are replied to by the same five people all the time saying the same thing all the time. The site taking off posts they don’t like is what finally got me to come back way less frequently….. It is a shame.

  I drink alcohol. I don’t smoke or do any other drugs. I did marijuana, hash, acid, opium, mushrooms, etc…in high school (they are illegla and they were easier for me to get than beer). I believe they are all safer than alcohol but I didn’t like the way they made me feel personally. If I wanted any drugs today I would buy them today. I personally make a choice to drink alcohol but I don’t believe I have the moral authority to tell others what to ingest. I felt so much better about myself once I stopped trying to dictate what others can do to themselves, or what two consenting adults do to each other. It is their life.

  Ask anyone you know who doesn’t do drugs now if they would start doing drugs if they were made available and legal. I don’t think you will find anyone who would say “Yes”. Anyone who would like to do drugs….does already. Start thinking outside of the box that society has placed you in since elementary school. I used to think the way you do because that is what was drilled into me by educators, parents, and media. It is difficult to get out of the restraints that have been placed on your mind but once you begin thinking independently with logic you really rise above the average thinker.

  Conservatives are no better than Libs when they believe they should use the Federal Government to enforce their perceived moralities on others. Crimes should be what people do unwillingly to others not what they do willingly to themselves.

  I am glad to see you Conservatives are so passionate about personal liberty: like individuals being allowed to put in their mouth whatever they want as long as they don’t harm others. No wonder so many Tea Partiers, and Libertarians are distancing themselves from Repubs.

  Wake up Bruce and have an adult argument. If people are high on drugs in public they get arrested for public intoxication just like now. There would not be high people laying all over the street just as there isn’t drunk peole lying all over streets now. Anyone who wants drugs today in America could get anything they want in five minutes. In almost every city and town people could get drugs quicker than they could get alcohol. And you can even buy drugs on Sundays, unlike alcohol where I live. Just because something is illegal doesn‘t mean it isn’t all around you. Get your head out of………the sand.
