Dem. Rep. David Wu Announces Resignation Amid Sex Allegations
July 26, 2011 at 3:48pm
As a Conservative Oregonian I say yeah and good riddance to Mr. Wu. There are many more conservatives in Oregon than the country realizes and we are certainly not all mindless granola-eating hippies as the media might suggest. Mr. Wu definitely did not represent the values and principals of a great number of us and his departure is a welcome relief. It is unfortunate that as Oregon’s representative, he has sullied the reputation of this beautiful state. Hopefully, Sens Wyden and Merkley will be next to leave.
Is the Pledge of Allegiance ‘Divisive?’ Some Politicians in Oregon Think So
June 29, 2011 at 7:10pm
Contrary to public opinion, most of Oregon (geographically) is full of conservative, generous, God-fearing, hard-working people. The liberal loons unfortunately congregate in the two most populated cities – Portland and Eugene. Wacky stuff coming from the home of University of Oregon (aka Berkeley North) is pretty routine. Those areas beat out the rest of the state in population so it’s a big challenge at election time. But I keep praying…. Don’t throw us into the Pacific just yet.
