  I agree, the lion will not break the Plexiglas. Years ago, I was at the Columbus zoo viewing the gorilla exhibit. It had a large Plexiglas viewing window. An adult male was standing very close to it, making fun of the apes. The large silverback gorilla was walking past the window and appeared to be ignoring the idiot on the outside of the compound. Suddenly, he wheeled and brought both fists down on the window right in front of the man’s face. The sound of the strike was very loud and the man jumped back and turned very white. I still remember the gorilla making what could only be called a belly laugh and continued on his walk. I just wish we had a video camera back then.

  It takes skill to connect non-pvc large pipes (try soldering a 3 or 4 inch copper pipe). I suspect that this is to keep skilled UNION labor employed at the expense of lowered paid contractors who work with pvc. Not only will the labor cost increase, the pipe cost will be much larger (not to mention the increase in plumbing theft), and the life of the copper or iron pipes will be less than pvc. There is a glue for copper pipe (and also quick connects) but I bet they will not be allowed.

  I suggest that you look into BSA Explorer scouting. It is co-ed and available in a large number of interests including marksmanship, electronics, cooking, etc.

  Marion, Ohio will lay off 16 police (about a third of the force) and about 10-12 firemen next month unless “something” changes. http://www.marionstar.com/article/20111213/NEWS01/112130303/Police-make-plea-council-avoid-layoffs
  Ohio recently repealed a law (Ohio senate bill 5 or issue 2) that would have reduced public union benefits and possibly prevented these layoffs. Now the Marion union is offering concessions to prevent the layoffs.   At one point in history, the same could have been said of Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Paul, etc. You might also consider watching It’s a Wonderful Life, a nice easy way to see how good works tend to grow while we do not even notice.

  Just great, we are seeing the evolution of the self powered politician. Just point two at each other (or one with a suitably curved air baffle) and their windy dialog will spin the propeller, turn a generator, and they will never run down. Almost makes me feel like I am in a Terminator movie, seeing the first prototype.

  Very good idea. Also, if any of the 53% can stomach a visit, might I suggest that you hang out with just one group out of that collection of misfits, for instance, the environmental group, the drumming group or the security unit and suck up big time to them. Tell them how great a job they are doing, how undervalued they are and that the collective would fail without them. Then point to a rival group and say too bad that group is here since they are harming the cause and not pulling their weight.

  What makes you think that the homeless are giving them correct information? I know that if I were a homeless person being poorly treated by the Occupiers, I would likely make less than helpful suggestions regarding winter protection.
