  • @Skimmer…

While I wasn’t yet born, my father flew over 200 missions in Vietnam off the USS Ranger. While you are entitled to your opinion, isn’t Ted entitled to his as well? Are you suggesting that if you didn’t serve, you can’t express your opinion about war?

I have a grasp of what hell war can be, only from the very few stories my father would tell. I understand that many people abhor the thought of conflict, but I don’t think that should preclude anyone from expressing their opinion.

I agree with you there are too many atrocities as part of war. I’ve only heard a

  • As an avid homebrewer for over two years, this is actually a good story, if you read it all the way through. The lesgislature passed, and the govenor has signaled he will sign the new law to keep homebrewing outside the home okay.

Here in Ohio, the State Fair has added a homebrew competition to the official slate of events.

    Cheers!

“Typical conservatives just cannot deal with an intelligent, assertive, woman. ”

What exactly is a “typical conservative”? So if I were to write “typical liberal” would that make sense to you? Besides, what would you call Condi Rice, Margaret Thatcher, Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin, Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachman, et all?

I may not agree 100% with any of them, but it doesn’t mean I “can’t deal with them?” What do you even mean by that? I don‘t like what she’s saying, but I can deal with it. I can point out that she didn’t answer the questions.

Simply speaking after a question is asked is not necessarily answering the question.

  • TO: Most people who comment on this site.

Just because you think someone is a “troll” doesn’t make them one. Win the argument with facts and numbers not name calling. Calling someone you disagree with a derogatory name, doesn’t do you, or conservatives for that matter, any help. It’s the reason that so many will write off this site and others like it.

Isn’t it acceptable to have a difference of opinion? Just because a majority of people think a certain way doesn’t mean everyone has to, right? Will I be cast aside as “living in mom’s basement” because I have a different way of looking at an issue?

Since there are so few places for people to go without either being harassed or bullied, shouldn’t The Blaze be the place for free thinkers to go. If the people leaving comments try to shout down others for not toeing the “party line” then they are no different than anywhere else.

  • Remember to always watch what the other hand is doing. This is probably nothing more than a rope-a-dope move. Sometime later, they will explain their way around it and he will be back on. Count on it.

  • LMAO!!!!

Love the comment, love the satire.

    In reply to SREGN.

Actually, in most cases, the Son of Sam law doesn’t apply. In 1991 it was ruled unconstitutional.

Also, according to confidential police reports, she IS in the Columbus, OH area. Columbus police have been notified as a precautionary measure.

  • What you say may be true, but that doesn’t change the outstanding problems. 1. Illegal search of car. 2. Threatening grave bodily harm.

Plus, as I commented earlier, he violated a great number of (usually standard) protocols for traffic stops. The other cop, searching the back seat, is plain lucky that this wasn’t a criminal. He should NEVER search a car without first checking all occupants and/or removing them. Neither of those things happened.

  • I hit the wrong “reply” button Debbie. That was supposed to be a reply to an earlier post from Ghost of Jefferson.

  • While I am not an officer, I come from a family full of them.

Both cops more than likely weren’t following proper procedure; but without knowledge of Canton’s local rules, it’s hard to say. The first thing you should ALWAYS do is get the driver’s info (license, reg, proof ins) and then move on. He should NEVER search a car with any occupants still inside, at least not before they’ve been searched.

Beside, without asking the driver for permission, that makes it an illegal search. I would bet money that this tape will be used later for training purposes on “what not to do” and “how not to act.”

I understand that police officers have a very dangerous job, and that this was most likely a thwarted prostitution deal. That still doesn’t give the officers the right to act as they did.

Ghost, thank you so much for all of your help in CCW. Those of us that carry, really appreciate it.
