  Who is Obama to say what a fair share is? Is it our demand to pay for programs he comes up with? Why does an action by him or some other politician demand any of us to “do our part” to make it work?

  We did go down this road before in the late 19th century, and it worked wonderfully, until progressive era programs created a huge tax burdon and brought American growth to a hault.

  It’s all about steering a conservative into a direction that they can manipulate later. He’s smart not to answer because gay marriage has no place in government discussion. It’s a progressive platform designed to put government into our bedrooms, and it doesn’t belong there.

  Why is Powell’s opinion valuable? It’s people like him who built the mess we find ourselves in. “No Compromise?” What does that mean. There’s a right answer, and a wrong answer. You don’t make an answer right/wrong just to make the other side feel like they are important.
