  While Christmas is considered by many to be a christian holiday, it has morphed with time into something entirely different and is now more about brotherly love and Santa. To say that Atheists shouldn’t celebrate it at the same time as Christians is a bit historically hypocritical considering that it was once a pagan celebration.

  While based off you’re user name we probably agree on some things. I must say that your quote regarding the spontaneous generation of life is off subject. The theory of Evolution does not describe where the first self-replicating cell came from, thats known as abiogenesis and is a different theory. Evolution ONLYdecribes self-replicating organisms.

  Its not that the minority are the ones dictating everyone. Its that the founding fathers/constitution established a freedom of religion belief. Atheist, jews, mormons, evangelicals, catholics all have the right to believe what they wish. And our government can’t show support or preference for one specific religion, how mad would you be if the federal government started building statues of Buddha on public land?
  Freedom of religion is one of the things that makes this country great, the federal government is bound to not play favorites.
