  I hate to say it but it appears someone, either at the NYPD or the DA’s office didnt do his/her job. Either the PD didnt do a record and warrant check, or they did it wrong and didn’t get the correct record, or they didn‘t forward it to the DA’s office for presentation to the judge. If the judge didnt have the perp’s record in front of her, she acted correctly in letting him go.

  I hate to say it but this guy was free because someone – either at the police department or the DA‘s office DIDN’T DO HIS/HER JOB. Either a want and warrant was not run on this guy, or it was run incorrectly so his true record didn’t show up, or the record wasn‘t forwarded to the DA’s office for presentation to the judge. All things considered, I dont think the judge should be faulted in this.
