  • I’ve been saying from day one that this is not a compromise, but a stall tactic. ObamaCare gives the government the POWER (unconstitutional power mind you) to put a rule like this and many others in place. This was a trial balloon and with it being a presidential election year, he is acting like he’s listening and “cares”. How can we as a people be so stupid not to see that getting an exemption or an “alternate” type of mandate doesn’t change the fact that it is an unconstitutional mandate and robs us of more of our freedoms?

Ten years or less from now, this rule will be put back into place and the government will tell the religious groups to shut up or drop coverage all together. By then, unless ObamaCare is repealed, the exchanges/government run healthcare will be fully implimented and ready for an influx of millions of people. If the religious employers stand on principle and quit offering insurance, that automatically puts all of those people into the exchanges and onto the government healthcare roles. That is the end game here folks. They are setting the private insurance market up to fail and will paint religious groups into a corner and make them either stand on principal and not offer insurance or leave their religous beliefs at the door and comply with the government mandates. Yes folks, this IS HAPPENING in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!! Wake the $#%^& UP!!!
    REPEAL ObamaCare!!!!

  • This openess to finding a concession is NOT good news. It is a CLEAR picture of what the government will have the power to do through ObamaCare. They put the trial balloon out to see if they could get it past us, but have decided that it’s best (particulary in a presidential election year) to look like they are listening & that they care. So they will reverse course; for now. Rest assured, this issue will come before us again in the future and they may not go for it all like they did here, but piece by piece, they will move toward the goal. At some point, if ObamaCare isn’t repealed, the government will be able to enact any rule they want and if the politicians of that time have the wearwithall to stand up to the heat, there won‘t be a thing in the world we’ll be able to do about it.

Getting a religious exemption doesn’t solve the problem, only repeal will solve the problem. If ObamaCare is left standing, this and many, many other issues will be forced upon us and we’ll end up in a place that we never thought we could be in this country. This is NOT a win, it’s a retreat and regrouping by Obama and his ilk. If we don’t stay on the offensive and push for repeal, they’ll get us in the end.

  • This is by DESIGN. The government is forcing all catholic/religeous institutions into a corner. Either give in and leave your morals at the door or stand firm and refuse to offer healthcare to your workers. Why? Obama is betting that they will stand firm and no longer offer healthcare to millions of workers & their children. That then puts all these uninsured workers directly into the coming Exchanges and onto the government healthcare roles. The infastructure is almost complete for government run healthcare, now they just need the people to either choose to join or be forced to join by employers dropping coverage. THIS is what’s going on here and what WILL happen in the end.

Without ObamaCare, none of this can/would be happening. Don’t call and beg for an exemption, call and DEMAND that ObamaCare be repealed. This is just the beginning of the nightmare of government run healthcare.

  • For once, Pelosi is playing the part of the useful idiot. I am more than happy that she is holding this thing up. SHE is doing what the ignorant “old guard” Republicans can’t seem to figure out. Stall until the reinforcements get here in January. I don’t understand how adding a trillion dollars of national debt in order to maintain current tax rates is of any use to us. Why don’t we just strike up the band and dance in the ball room while the Titanic sinks? Thank you Nancy for doing what the Republicans are TOO STUPID to to.

  • Matthews is absolutely correct in his remarks. However, Da Prez wasn’t talking to him, you or me when he said that the government would be sending folks a check via tax cuts. He was speaking to the 47% of Americans that DON’T PAY federal income taxes, but will still be getting a “refund”.

So in Obamanomics, the government WILL be sending people money that is not theirs to begin with. The great redistributor in action! This was nothing more than pandering to the zero liabilty voter and continuing the economic enslavement of people to the government. Nothing here to see folks; just buying votes (with your money). Move along now & thanks for going to work for the “little people”.
