  On the surface this sounds ok. Does this tax plan replace payroll taxes? Why does the rate need to be 17%? How did they come up with the first deduction? Why not exempt the first 50k? 100k?

  This plan needs to be rethought. Get rid of the payroll taxes. Move tax day to the week before election day. Lower the rate to 10% and have no deductions. If the income coming in from this isn’t enough to pay our bills, cut spending.

  Not all teachers are liberal and not all NEA members are communists, socialists, or dope smoking hippies. When was the last time you set foot in a classroom? If you have children, have you met the teacher, looked over the curriculum, and had a conversation with him?

  I’d like to know the whole story before I blame the teacher. What were the instructions? Were there other flags allowed? Just because an 11 year old said it happened, doesn’t mean it happened.

  No ONE deserves to be paid a tip. You must earn it. If you want to go around complaining about the amount of tips you get, find another job. If the service is really crappy, you get nothing. My wife and I went to a restaurant and the waiter accidentally spilled a jug of ice water on my wife. He didn’t even apologize and disappeared. I had to go ask another server for some towels. When we left, I complained to the manager about the poor service and he didn’t do anything. Needless to say, no tip and no repeat business.
