  • I am going Deep Sea Fishing Tuesday. Can’t wait!!

  • Mormons are self centered AND dishonest? I like how you doubled down there. Do any research at all on Mormonism and you will find that we are renowned the world over for our selflessness and our honesty!!
Ask any mayor or government official whose town has been devistated by a natural disaster in the last 50 years what religion was there to help. They will all say the mormons came!
Companies specifically recruit mormons because they are honest. The US government hires mormons for the CIA and FBI. BYU sends more graduates to the FBI and CIA than almost any other university.
I said this is what bigotry looks like because you are stating things contrary to the truth simply because you do not care for mormons and yes, that is bigotry.

  • This, my friend, is what bigotry looks like.

  • @better,
No resume? What are your smokin? Mitt Romney has perhaps the greatest resume of anyone ever to seek the presidency. He is a great businessman, rescued the Olympics, served as a conservative governor of a very liberal state, is a solid family man with no skeletons. Mitt may not be the perfect conservative but no resume? Give me a break.

  • @angry
You have got to be kidding me. Mitt only published his tax returns after the media went crazy for two weeks begging him to release them. If he wanted to say, “look at me” he would have released them much earlier. When he finally released them everybody said, “What?” these make him look really good, why did he wait?
Mitt has never talked about his charitable giving, everybody else has. He is a good man.

  • Very true. Strange things are posted on this site as well. :’)

  • Oops! Epic hacking fail.

  • I think it is hysterical, all of the evangelicals that are having a fit because Rick is criticizing their religion saying it has been targeted and taken over by Satan. The same evangelicals that have been calling Mormonism a cult and Mormons Satan worshipers for years. It does not feel very good to have somone question your faith does it?
Actually, there is some truth to what Rick says. Many people in the world today have been tricked by the evil one. They fall into his snares and do not even realize they are caught. They become addicted to alcohol, drugs and pornoghraphy and then go to church on Sunday pretending that everything is just fine. They cry, “I am saved” in the light of day and continue on in sin after sin after sin in the dark. The evil one smiles and whispers, “I am no devil, for there is none.”

  • @Reform,
The Mormon church has a huge worldwide humanitarian relief system in place that sends hundreds of tons of food, clothing, hygiene kits, blankets, etc all over the world. The next time you are in SLC you should stop by “Welfare Square” and take a look. You will be impressed.
Also, ask any Mayor of a city that has had a natural disaster in the last 10 years if the Mormons showed up to help, they will tell you not only did we show up, but we stayed as long as was needed.

    In reply to GoodStuff.

    @Goodstuff,
You have no idea what you are talking about.
    1. Mormons do not believe that “good works equal to or above that of the FINISHED work of Christ on the cross.” That is an absolute falsehood. We beleive that through the Grace of God we are saved, after all we can do. Without the atoning blood of Christ all are fallen and are lost.

    2. Mormons are not “leaving in droves” either. Like any religion, some choose to join and some choose to leave. Mormonism is the most rapidly growing religion (net, net) in the country.

If you are going to post about Mormonism please do some real research instead of repeating anti mormon rants. When you don’t, you look foolish and bigoted.
