  @ Twisted…Except of course where it says, “But God so loved the world (meaning everyone) that He gave His only begotten son that whosever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn it, but that through Him, it might be saved.” John 3:16-17. By memory, so I apologize if I got some of the words incorrect.

  Or, if that one isn’t good enough for you, we could try Romans 5:8 “But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.”

  I’d give you more but these are just a couple off the top of my head that I remember. If it so tickles your fancy I can get back to you with more examples.

  Several people I know are in charge of the financials for their government institutions. Every November and December they are scrambling to spend thousands and thousands of dollars they haven’t yet, even though they don’t need to spend it. Why? If they don’t spend it they lose that money in their budget the next year. Instead of getting commended for being resourceful and efficient they are penalized by not getting the money the next year. So some of them spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on stuff they don’t need.
