  • Sir, how can you look at the world, or even universe around you, and not see something greater than mere chance happenings that created everything around us?

  • Indeed. his stock just went up a few points. I’m not one for most of the Hollywood types, but Timberlake just garnered a little more respect from this veteran for this deed.

  • Still waiting for something substantial and verifiable…

I brought up this little saying in the Livestream chatbox of my local #OccupyNashville group a couple of days ago. Even though the group claims that “everyone should have a voice;” dissenting voices apparently aren’t included in that as I was promptly banned from any further chatting. That, and apparently the group lacks a sense of humor about it’s own existence.

  • Ah, this will have conspiracy theorists going nuts. If indeed there is a relationship between these two, I wonder what it’s about?

  • The Obama White House is going to try to channel the “Occupy” movement towards political ends. If you can convince useful idiots at “Occupy” that you‘re succeeding to their demands guess who they’ll want to vote for?

And *suprise*, guess what increased demands on corporations will do? Make things worse… And when you make things worse you’re only going to feed the beast that is “Occupy Wall Street.”

Methinks this does not bode well for America. Heaven help us for we seem unable/unwilling to help ourselves…

  • So you’re okay with the precedent set by Gov Perry then? Sure his heart was in the right place, and he probably meant well, but what happens a few years from now when it’s someone else (namely someone you don’t like) legally requiring children to be given something (namely something you don’t want them given)? And surprise, they‘re fining or jailing people who don’t comply!

And what could possibly be the legal justification for that? Good ole Gov Rick Perry in Texas!

What Gov Perry did, violates two things: Principle and Precedent.

  • Excellent work Meredith! Thanks for asking the questions that no one else would bother asking, because they wanted reality to reflect their false truth.

I’m especially fond of the separate news approach to this story (that gives us the facts) and the blog approach (which gives us your opinion on the interpretation of those facts – 99% of which I agree with you on). Thank you for discriminating the two and keeping them in separate places.

As for the young Mr. Stephens; I can only pray for a lost soul. Only in America can you be given so much and still consider yourself a victim. Apparently for him, when the going gets tough, it’s time to kick and scream like a two-year-old instead of man-up and make the hard choices like self sacrifice, cutting back for the family, and humbleness. I can only presume, since the parents are moving from a “overly conservative” are to someplace else, that he comes by his ideology honestly.

  • Netanyahu is a statesman. He’s not going to pick sides inside the U.S. He is not going to take any chance of alienating here that otherwise would show support for Israel.

I wish Obama had half the brass that Netanyahu does…
