  • Turn the stupid T-shirt inside out, for crying out loud. Is that really too smart for these people? She has to buy new clothes? I hate stupid.

  • @ENCINOM: All of the laws dealing with the protection of its citizens and passed by legislatures have a moral component to them, if not directly. Why do you think we have laws against murder, theft, assault, lying, cheating, etc.? They are all moral in nature. Some people say that we shouldn’t legislate morality. Too late.

  • @KAYDEEBEAU: That is the purpose of the Law handed down to God’s people and recorded for us in the Bible. The Law’s purpose is to make sin known that we might have no excuse before Him. Although we are to keep the law, no one can keep it perfectly, which is what God requires. Hence, the need to atone for sin in the death and resurrection of Christ, a beautiful and tragic mercy. But as far as our modern society goes, I would venture to say that there isn‘t a homosexual alive who doesn’t know what the Bible teaches on the subject of sexual sin. They can deny that the Bible teaches against homosexuality (one among many sexual sins), but the more honest thing to do would be to say “I don’t care what the Bible says about this.” Sadly today we have some who refuse to repent of their sins and yet want to claim the Name of Christ as their Saviour.

  • Zombies and sheep–not sure which is which in your statement, but I take it as a badge of honour and mercy to be one of Christ’s sheep.

  • I agree that each individual dealing with his own sins should take up the vast majority of a believer’s time. However, it’s clear that if so-called “Gay Marriage” is federally legalised, churches will be required to perform same-sex ceremonies or be closed down. If you don’t think this will happen, just see how the Obama administration is doubling down on forcing Catholic institutions to provide abortion services, abortifacients and birth control to their employees which is against their doctrines and practices. Religious freedom is in serious jeopardy in our country. That’s why “Gay Marriage” is such a big issue.

  • In addition, I think it’s fair to ask if most black people think a particular way when 96 percent of those who voted for President in 2008 voted for Obama. Many admitted that they voted for him because he is (semi) black. No other people group in America have such a high amount of political agreement. I don’t think the so-called “black community” is monolithic, except in this regard and their views toward Nanny Statism, and their view that they are the constant victims of white racism.

  • There is nothing wrong with generalisations, if they are true. For example, it is generally true that almost all serial killers are white and male. Fact. It is also true that the vast majority of incidents like the one recorded here are either black-on-black or black-on-white assaults, car jackings, robberies and the like. Fact. No one should say “all of this group” does such and such at all times. That goes way beyond generalising from the facts into plain bigotry. But when we say that an incident of this type generally has a common perpetrator group, we are in line with the statistics and facts as they have been presented to us by law enforcement authorities. If we keep ignoring the obvious for the sake of political correctness, then our society will reap what has been sown, just as it is now and will continue to do.

  • It’s silly to connect fascism with the right wing. The furthest to the right you can go would be anarchy. The furthest to the left you can go would be both communism and fascism, either of which has the goal of destroying the private sector.

  • At least Safeway could have said, “You know, we really don’t want our employees doing that. In this case, we’re glad that there was a good resolution, but in future we need to let our security teams handle this.” Then they could have saved face and kept the employee. Wouldn’t that have been a good thing for Safeway?

  • I don‘t think The Blaze or anyone else would be talking about it if it weren’t such a pressing social issue right now. Most people typically don’t need or want to talk about homosexuality, but it’s in our face right now with folks who want to change the thousands-of-years-old definition of marriage. As it is, it’s an election issue, so I don’t fault any news outlet for discussing it whether pro or con.
