  • I believe that under the constitution this in direct conflict of the first amendment because it essentially establishes a NEW religion in that it alters the belief system of another. Therefore, it is in direct conflict with the first amendment and so unlawful. Subject to the laws of the land and the people for which they were set up to protect from a government that would usurp the power of the people and the freedom of choice.

  • There is an app called Lookout that has that feature and also checks for viruses and such.

  • I can’t help but wonder how much it cost to let these little guys get their fifteen “minutes” of fame. AND why do we as humans find the need to apply OUR words to the sounds that other species make. Maybe they were saying – I want out of this box! NO privacy whatsoever! Can’t believe that in this clean environment I still get stressed out and nash my teeth in frustration. LOL Really, you have to wonder what people do with their time and get paid by tax payers to do it. Wow!

  • Whatever….looks like the difference between “lift” and “lift and separate” to me. Who cares? There are bigger (NO, that wasn’t what I meant) problems. On to the next story please.

  • Stunning Time-Lapse Video of Australian Night Sky

    In reply to JRook.

The Bible explains all of this in great detail but it is the least of what is of importance to us. Love to you.

  • We have a dust storm photo museum in the Panhandle of OK and I can tell you that this looks about the same only not as black. The dirt being blown around back in the 30′s was primarily top soil. What a mess, but here we are all these years later still hanging on and smarter and tougher for the experience. Whatever God’s plan for his people, we will be sustained by His strength and not our own. I have an Aunt in Scotsdale and I‘d bet she didn’t even blink when this came through.

  • News Corp. to Sell MySpace This Week

I would love to see a company like Mercury buy MySpace and make it into a viable site for people of all types of talent who can share ideas and their work and oh so much more. MySpace could be a great place and so I hope whoever buys it will work out the kinks and get it moving again. I’m a member and visit once in a while to keep up with my favorite people in the arts. Most of my friends are on FB so I don’t need two social sites for friends. I like the interaction with the arts and artists of all genre’s.

  • Aaaa, the only way this would negatively affect anyone is if they are told to be negatively affected. Oh, I forgot, we have people sitting around collecting checks waiting to be told how to feel, and what to say about it as they raise their red fists in the air and wave them about chanting. Oh wait, Indians chanted, did I just say a PC word????? COME ON PEOPLE !!!!!! GROW UP OR SOMETHING – anything but stupidity would be better than this. Please.

  • What a mess. Okay, here is the deal. Public schools were formed to teach READING, WRITING, AND ARITHMETIC. History was optional and usually taught through doing programs for parents. No wonder teachers think they aren’t being paid enough or supported enough. They are way too busy doing what they aren’t supposed to be doing. SIMPLIFY PEOPLE!!!! Teach the basics and let them learn the rest through self study. If you learn to read you can study anything – on you own. If you learn to write you can voice your opinion – on anything. If you learn arithmetic you might figure out that this country as it was founded offers the best opportunities for self improvement anywhere in the world, AND if you would stop following the laziest people in the world who want someone else’s money to sooth their injured feelings for the boo boos they never had any direct connection to, you might find yourselves successful Americans, standing on the side of a country which offers you FREEDOM. (for a minute until your goons get their way and you find yourself dead in a ditch where they left you because you were just a tool ).

  • Wow, in reading the posts herein I‘m surprised and disappointed that we aren’t more civilized ourselves. This splash of postings is as erratic as the girls at that Wendy’s. I have worked in our public school systems and this is a perfect example of the disconnect between reality and perceived rights. The fault??? It is our own for letting this education system lie to all of us for so long. I heard Beck yesterday making light of a college student for not knowing the definition of a couple of words that, in all fairness are not used much in daily life. And yet it is Beck who has shown us that our schools have dumbed us all down since 1913. There is a lot of catching up to do and it won’t happen overnight. There are a lot of problems to fix and we have just learned that the car won’t run.
Yes, what these girls did is wrong! But what we have done for most of our lives is wrong too. We have to realize that if WE don’t educate, the schools sure as hell won’t either!
I saw names called, people blamed but not once did I see anyone say. I’m going to check into our schools and make sure that there are some decencies being taught. That the kids in my neighborhood are learning that they are loved even when they do wrong, but that they will pay for their sins or lawlessness (that used to be the same thing) but we have tickled the ears of our children so that their wrongs don’t seem quite SO bad as what the ten commandments would have us believe they are. The Bible tells us the wages of sin is death, but then Jesus came and gave us an amendment that says through me (Jesus) you shall be saved.
Who is going to tell them if we are too afraid to leave the safety of our computer screens and get off our duffs? Hmmm, just wondering if you think before you type? I try. I do not always succeed, but I try.
