  Jesus cares about US and by extension he DOES care about the things we care about. Plus this young mans PUBLIC witness has fostered COUNTLESS debates and discussion son the role of religion in daily l& professional life.   If people like jxyj01 and AbrahamYoung REALLY can‘t differentiate between premeditated murder and the fulfillment of the duties and responsibilities of our Military and Police then I really don’t know what I can say to help the situation.

  Though I will tell you that as both a Solider (US Army Persian Gulf War veteran) AND as a Bible believing Christian and minister for Christ, there is a HUGE difference. MANY people have done a good job using scripture and logic to show you how and why you are wrong. I have one more thought for you……

  MOST people who join the military do so to be of service to their country and MANY of them (myself included) never actually had to take a life. I guess and ultra peacenik might make the argument that our efforts supported others who killed in our stead; but HERE is another point that people like you usually seem to be unable to grasp….MOST military personnel don’t join the military with the desire or intent of killing. Therefore any deaths at their hands were NOT premeditated and NOT murder. The Bible DOES support self defense, death penalty and killing due to military necessity. These are clearly separate from murder.   Surprisingly adept song with beautiful lyrics though….I almost hesitate to say this but the “Prince Of Peace” line was a little much for me. British culture even moreso than American is closed off to TRUE Bible based Christianity so they may not know that Prince Of Peace is just one of the names for Jesus.

  Like others I also have served during Desert Shield/Storm with British troops, They are hardy, committed and mostly, loyal to a fault.   WOW! You are SO wrong I can’t even believe you don’t see it! We are ALL one race, descended from the same line of Adam & Eve. The warnings about marrying people from other areas were because of RELIGION and had nothing whatever to do with color or race or national origin but the fact that taking a spouse of another FAITH might lead us away from God the father into worship of false Gods and Idols! You may very well be a technical engineer but your understanding of scripture could use some work. Also, I find it DISGUSTING that you would equate an interracial couple with a gay couple! A man and a woman of ANY race and color, have complementary reproductive organs and can conceive life if God wills….HOW do you compare THAT to gay marriage or congress? This speaks to YOUR obvious issues with race.

  I have spoken and written on this numerous times! IF we start down the road of saying that homosexuals are “born that way”….Where does it stop? We can’t call anything wrong if people are inherently conditioned towards certain desires. WHY does no one seem to see this? Why do we have people defending ONLY homosexuals sinful choices? Why not say that wife beating, bestiality, drug abuse etc is all OK? NOT that I am saying that homosexuality is the same as these other things but in one way they are…They are all sin.   What amazes me is how some people believe SO dogmatically in things like Evolution and “Global Warming or Climate Change”. They are actually trying to fill a need that many anthropologists, sociologists and philosophers have long speculated on…The need for something bigger than ourselves. A religious expression or a faith if you will. Evolutionary atheism is a worldview and a religion with it’s own set of beliefs, morals and values.

  Intelligent design actually makes sense of many things that neo-Darwinian theory fails to account for, primarily; the sentience of the human being. There are NO feasible explanations for so MANY things…NO one can give us an accounting for why our planets are comprised of largely different elements (seeing as how they all should have been formed from material that “sprang” into being after the big bang) how the moon may have been formed or placed etc. Also one of my favorites is the anthropic principle (check the wiki page for more info)…Did you know that solar and lunar eclipses can not be observed on any other planet in our solar system? How fortuitous that life arose on a planet UNIQUELY positioned and tuned to allow that life to explore its place in the universe.

  SILENTWATCHER! You called it! As soon as I read this story I was thinking to myself, WOW! This guy would have been justified in killing the cop!. Police officers should (and for the most part) do respect an individual citizens right to carry. The man CLEARLY attempted to communicate to the officer and even showed his permit! The abuses of authority are getting out of hand! we need to stand up for our rights SOON or we wont have any worth mentioning.
