  • AAAAAND…What’s wrong with Rick Santorum owning rental property? Seems like a good investment to me. Some might even call it a wise use of his resources as an individual. And the fact that he fixes the units up and keeps them well maintained? Doesn’t that show “Good Stewardship?” Capitalism is a GOOD thing, people. I don’t see the problem here.

  • I‘m glad that she’s putting the needs of her state above her own desire to serve in Congress. I wish her the best in her recovery and her future, and I hope that her district votes for a true conservative to replace her.

  • I heard it as a rumor that Shatner had been killed at my office, and was actually saddened by that news. I was glad when I found out that it was an ad campaign, and I personally think that it’s a very creative ad. 14 years with the same ad program is a pretty decent run, but it has certainly run its course. At least they had fun with it and gave it the sendoff it deserved.

  • When are people going to realize that “Reverse Racism” is RACISM? I’m glad they cut the funding. It’s the most “Common Sense” solution to this spreading of hate.

  • Proving yet again that CHARITY doesn’t require (or desire) a Government Intervention! The only thing that would have been more inspiring is if it had been done anonymously. Kudos to David Wilson, though, for taking the initiative to do something nice without requiring a tax deduction to spur his efforts. America needs more people like him.

  • This is a truly marvelous accomplishment and I wish the folks a NASA the best, but one thing in this article struck me as being particularly humorous: “The rover…should be able to go farther and work harder than any previous Mars explorer because of its power source: 10.6 pounds of radioactive plutonium. The nuclear generator was encased in several protective layers in case of a launch accident. NASA expects to put at least 12 miles on the odometer, once the rover sets down on the Martian surface.” Now, I don’t mean to sound judgmental or anything, but my Pontiac Aztek gets MUCH better mileage than that on regular gas…just saying…

  • I’m going to go out on a limb here and suggest that NOT electing him was one of the smartest things the people of Arizona have ever done. I‘m just thinking that if you’re foolhardy enough to fall for an online dating scam, sell your home and belongings, and end up homeless in the Ukraine on the hopes of finding a wife, you probably shouldn‘t be trusted with the State’s decisions.

  • You know, there‘s a lot of Conservatism in this guy’s accomplishment. He’s Personally Responsible, both for obtaining the property and for designing the home through his own hard work and dedication; it promotes Less Government, because you know damn well he didn’t get permits; promotes Lower Taxes because there was no “Value Added” tax on the materials; promotes Greater Liberties because he’s living as he chooses to live; and an obvious Honest Belief in Something Greater than Himself, because he is choosing to “Live Green,” not by fearmongering and trying to force others to live that way, but by just doing it himself. Personally, I wouldn’t do it, but that’s my business, not his, and he seems OK with that. I think we could all learn quite a bit from his example.

  • Sometimes, I weep for my Country. We have “Youthful Idiots” clamoring on the streets to convert our Nation into something that the people of POLAND are still trying to recover from. They honor Reagan while some of our own destroy his memory and his statue. If only the “Mainstream Media” would take a moment to air the voices of the Polish People instead of propagandizing the uprisings in the Middle East, more Americans would stand against the destruction of “The Last Best Hope on Earth.”

  • She’s not knocking waitresses, “My point is, these kids should have higher goals.” There’s nothing wrong with setting realistic goals to get to your higher goal. Working a job that earns you a living rather than relying on a Loan, Government Welfare, or the “Kindness of Others” is NOTHING to be ashamed of! She’s not knocking waitresses; she’s knocking HOOTERS, but she’s too afraid to SAY THAT. In my opinion, that is a far worse example than the one presented by this young lady. Holding out for a CEO position instead of taking the job that’s available is suicidal. Maybe someone should remind this woman that “A Journey of 1000 Miles begins with a Single Step.”
