  “He’s not Obama” isn’t enough to win the election. Look at 2004. Kerry ran on “Anyone but bush”. People don’t like to unsit a current president unless there is a major reason too, and a rescued economy from the brink of depression isn’t a reason to oust him, it’s a reason to keep him.

  I will fully admit, as a strict liberal, Ron Paul is my first choice (even over Obama). However, since he is not going to be the nominee, I will stick with Obama, who is the second most liberal candidate this election cycle (after Paul).

  Romney is too corporatist, and santorum is just to theocratic (to the point that it is scary).

  This is exactly why mitt will have trouble in the general. The only states he’s winning are the ones where liberal/moderate republicans out number the conservative republicans. So in the general, if you are a moderate republican, there’s really no reason to switch from obama to rmoney.

  Can I just say, as 100% liberal, that I fully support the second amendment. As a liberal, I support ANY law or right that provides me freedom from the government, and while I have no problem surrendering my wallet (as my finances have nothing to do with my philosophical freedoms), I will never surrender the one thing that truly keep the government in check, which is an armed citizenry.
