  Personally I’ve never understood the double standard in regards to the “adult” status. Pick an age and stick with it across the board in every situation.

  In another article I read about this story they quoted Doyle as also saying:

  “I hope (Catholics who are offended) will now think twice before they question the faith of progressive Christians, or Mormons or Muslims. I doubt they will.”

  It was this comment that actually got me thinking from his perspective. I have often seen my beliefs, which I hold sacred, cast in the same light that Doyle used for Catholicism in his satire except it came from Catholics and “mainstream” Christians.
