  Yeah, I’m convinced he misheard the question. He looks really surprised and confused by being called a terrorist, and says that his invitation is a peaceful one. I blame the reporter, he should have restated and clarified the question. If I got this wrong, it is because of bad interviewing.

  Listen to it again. It seems to me that the guy misheard the question, he didn’t hear the part about the attacks. Nowhere in his tone of voice does it seem like he is responding to the question that was asked. His entire response is about how he has communication with all parts of the world.
  I’m no Muslim and I consider myself a libertarian. I feel that if he truly understood that question and gave that response then I agree with all of you. But when I watched that the first time, as soon as he responded to the question intuition told me that he didn’t hear the part about the attacks. I could be wrong, but I am not convinced that he meant was we are hearing and feel there is a very good chance that this is nothing more than a misunderstanding.
