  • Coming to a buffet near you…

  • @DRSavage24 Glenn did not say he is probably guilty, he said “believes there is a probability he is guilty”. In other words it is possible that he is guilty. Huge difference in those two statements.
People jumping to conclusions without having an accurate understanding of the facts is what’s fueling this situation….

  • Is it just me or do the pictures posted of Trayvon appear to be when he is about 12 years old?
    Whats the deal with that?

  • I hate to be “that guy” but Many veterans receive disability checks from the VA every month yet work full time physical Jobs. I personally know several at the 60-80% disability rating collecting over a $1000.00 a month. One of these guys is now a “rough neck” somewhere down in Texas.
I have no gripes about legitimate injuries that are incurred as part of active service, but the VA is handing out ratings like candy. Maybe its intentional, as a way to get more folks dependent on government…
I know guys that have ratings for stuff that happened when they were on liberty, for scars (I’m talking 1 inch long scar), and even kidney stones, which any urologist will tell you they don’t know what causes kidney stones to form. And just about anyone that has been in theater can get a rating for PTSD. You don’t even need to be a grunt to get the PTSD rating!

So not defending this firefighter, but this kind of thing happens a lot more than folks realize.

  • So his claim to fame is his work fighting TB; unfortunately the rate of infection for TB has skyrocketed in the past 10-12 years. I really don’t see how this qualifies him to head the world bank.

  • The second amendment has nothing to do with hunting, do you really think everyone in that time had to subsist off wild game? Do you not realize they had farms even WAAAY back then????
“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” I don’t see any mention of food or hunting in there…

You think the police will keep you and yours safe? Chicago has a population of about 2.8 million, and a police force of 12,400. If all hell breaks loose in a city like that how long do you think it will take for the police to come and “protect” your family? Heck even in a small town, it takes several minutes for police to respond to a call (assuming you can even get to a phone). D you think the bad guys are going to wait around for them to show up?
Police very rarely prevent crime, they are better suited to investigate crimes after the fact.

  • I don’t see the correlation between religion in the U.S. and world population, could you elaborate?
However, I do see a direct link between the mass use of fossil fuels (starting with coal) and the explosion of world population.

  • My knee jerk reaction was the same as yours, but after a second look at the pictures I’m not so sure the city is in the wrong.

Take a look at the first picture, lets assume this guy is 6ft tall. This flag is on a very short pole, even with what appears to be a fairly stiff breeze, this flag is hanging well below shoulder height.
Now take a look at picture number two: this flag is very close to a busy road (5 lanes or more) and a intersection.
Taking into consideration its extremely low hanging height and close proximity to the road and intersection I bet this guy was cited because his new flag is obstructing the view of drivers.
Another thing I noticed in picture one is that he appears to have a much taller and substantial flag pole within a few feet of this flag. Why isn’t he using this pole?
One last observation, This flag appears to be hanging over the sidewalk which would be an issue for pedestrians.

  • You need to know where your food comes from. If you don’t grow it/raise it yourself, then seek out local small farmers and ranchers to buy from. If you still have local, family run meat processors in your area, purchase your meat in bulk. Buying a whole hog or 1/2 half a beef at a time, will save you a lot of money and will provide you with quality meat.

  • I’m fortunate enough to live in a “rural” area where I can purchase beef that was raised and butchered all withing about 10 miles of my house. If you buy a 1/4, 1/2 or whole bee) you get everything steaks, roasts etc. For less per pound than you would by this pink slime burger at the local super market.
I would encourage everyone to seek out and support local meat lockers, processors and small farmers and ranchers if you are still lucky enough to have them.
This story just goes to show you cannot trust the big producers to provide healthy and wholesome food.

Is it any wonder why Cancer rates have sky rocketed in the last 50 years?
