  • The secularists often bash Christians, the politically correct version of bigotry, with spurious claims that we are anti-science when in fact, for example, the Catholic Church for example has pioneered scientific research for centuries. Consider the example of the discovery of the “Big Bang Theory” by Monsignor Georges LemaĆ®tre, a Belgian priest and cosmologist. Read about it in The Day Without Yesterday: LemaĆ®tre, Einstein, and the Birth of Modern Cosmology.

  • Could be there‘s someone who’s low on the food chain who plugged this in without the Girl Scouts being aware of it, so it’s best to wait to see how this shakes out. However, if it turns out they’ve decided to turn it it into a Progressive brainwashing machine, then I’m done with them too.

  • Tabloid TV star and political correctness maven Gloria Allred is all about getting herself on TV and the Hollwood media is more than ready to put her on, especially when she’s smearing a conservative. How pathetic it is when someone measures their success by how many reputations they can ruin.

By the way, I followed UNDECIDEDinCLEVELAND’s suggestion and Googled “Gloria Allred baseball” and viewed the TMZ video. Her behavior disgusting and I believe far worse than the behavior she’s criticizing.

The coach she was criticizing, providing what she described is true, was not behaving appropriately, but it seems it was a momentary reaction. Her having reenacted the alleged behavior at her press conference amounted to pornography as far as I’m concerend.

As I said, Gloria Allred’s behavior is pathetic. We should pray that she wakes up and sees the error in her ways and makes amends to the people she has wrongfully harmed over the years.

  • Bigotry of all flavors has a bitter taste.

  • These tee shirts are neither “cute” or “funny” and it’s not about “(teaching) these snarky kids about the seriousness of deadly diseases and instill compassion and respect for the sufferers.” The pink ribbon logo has become a symbol of the Koman Foundation having taken funds given them in good faith for cancer research and diverting a significant part of them to Planned Parenthood to further abortion on demand.

They will tell you that Planned Parenthood does breas cancer screening, but according to a story posted on The Blaze on March 30, 2011, they arent. Go to http://www.theblaze.com/stories/pro-life-group-exposes-planned-parenthood-mammogram-corruption/ for the story and a video.

  • Cofemale: About the wisest comment was yours: “Until we know all the facts, it would be wise to keep snide and accusatory accusations to ourselves.” Every time there’s an incident, any kind, the knee-jerk reaction in today’s culture is to have Congress make new laws regulating something or other before anybody knows the facts.

There‘s one thing I’d bet the farm on about this though. I’ll bet the liability lawyers are converging to Reno in droves.

  • I live in the Washington, DC, sububs and on 9/11, cell phone circuts were jammed and were useless, which could happen anywhere, so maybe everybody should consider having one of the little FRS (“Family Radio Service”) and/or GMRS handy-talkies for every family member with an emergency plan to stay connected. These are useful when the family is on an outing like Tea Parties, State Fairs, and on cruise ships.

If you have one, you may have noticed that they are well populated like the CB bands and you may be able to reach out to someone in an emergency, so keep one in your car too.

Also, if you live in an area where there are frequent power and communications outages, like hurricane prone areas, it might be a good idea to have a satellite phone. The phones and basic plans are relatively inexpensive, especially if you are left stranded somewhere and you need help.

Also, if you have a newer CC Radio Plus, they have replaced the old TV band with the 2 meter ham band. If you live in a thunderstorm and tornado prone area, Google “Skywarn frequencies” to fine the national Skywarn storm watchers network in your area. When my mother lived in West Texas, she found it and the NOAA Weather Radio used together very useful in determining when storms were near.

This was off the topic, which is about government interference with ersonal communications, perhaps illegally, but I thought maybe this might be useful information for you.

  • The video is on-target. The radical left rabidly promotes abortion and they treat Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood, like a god while conveniently forgetting to mention, particularly to the minorities they most enjoy exploiting, that she was an unabashed geneticist who made no secret of the fact that her purpose in life was to eliminate them, people she called “human weeds.” Their unspoken support of what Sanger promoted was underscored by the statement attributed to US Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg in a July 7, 2009, interview published in the New York Times Magazine. She said, “Frankly I had thought that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of.“ That might explain why Planned Parenthood has a majority of its abortion mills located in minority neighborhoods where those ”human weeds“ that ”(they) don’t want to have too many of” live.

  • This is one of those “You’ve got to be kidding me” things and it would appear the good people of Baltimore see it that way too. The WBAL-TV poll as of a few minutes ago indicated that 3855 people (96%) thought this $1 tax per bullet thing was a bad idea and 164 (4%) thought it was a good idea.

  • Robert, you got it right! This is the way the radicals work. Whether it’s homosexuals or some other radical special interest group, they all operate the same. They use coercion and legislation to both award themselves special privilege and persecute their opposition. In this case it’s not as much about homosexuality as it is about the destruction of the Judeo-Christian culture. It’s about hate.
